That Y'shaarj thing got me thinking about one little thing: it's known that his remains, the Sha, fester on negative emotion, and at the same time, they act as a catalyst for them. One could say that Y'shaarj gifted the world with anger, violence, fear. But is this the only side of the medal?

As we know, Yogg-Saron was the Old God of death. He was the source of Curse of Flesh which converted Titans' constructs from mechanic to organics, turning them mortal, making them die over time to feed Yogg-Saron. But along with flesh and mortality, he gave them procreation, so that the process would turn into a cycle, a cycle of life and death, on which he could parasitize.

As Yogg-Saron made the form imperfect, Y'shaarj made mind irrational. What if Y'shaarj gave us all emotions? It makes sense - to make us capable of dying, Yogg-Saron had to make us capable of living first. So, to make us experience negative emotions, on which he could thrive, Y'shaarj had to make us capable to experience emotion at all. What if Old Gods actually made us truly alive? How plausible do you think it is?

theres already instances that show titan contructs already had free will and emotions before they got corrupted by old gods

for example, the Earthen in Northrend and the Earthen who fought in WoTA are shown to have normal emotions like the rest of the worlds races

i personally doubt that Yogg'Saron has power over death, im inclined to believe that he was given that title because he killed many titan contructs before his imprisonment

There were other titan constructs that had free will that weren't on Azeroth either. The Earthen in Deepholm would not have had any contact with the Sha or Y'shaarj, but have emotions and free will. And obviously they procreate as well, as the Earthen king's son is the one that recruits you to help find him.

Its more likely that Y'shaarj brought negative emotion into the world in the same way that Yogg'Saron brought death through mortality.

Now there's the question: are Earthen truly untouched, pristine Titan creations? Their nature is elemental, which looks more like the domain of Old Gods, as opposed to the majority of Titan servitors, which are mechanic. What if the earthen have been touched by chaos already?

@OT, it's an interesting proposal, and I really doubt that the Earthen are untouched. The "purest" Titan creation that we've seen yet was Algalon, and he didn't seem capable of emotion until we beat the snot out of him, giving him a logic break.

Not that we need them - their job in creating life as we know it is done - it's that we owe them more than we're used to think. Titans bring order and their robotic overseers, and are willing to purge entire worlds if it doesn't fit their vision. Old Gods bring chaos, madness, change. The place of the living is right in between these forces.
