Personally I find LW to be one of the worst primary professions in the game, if not the worst in the game. It needs a complete overhaul in the worst way. I think you should keep alchemy. It's one of the best in the game (IMO). I mean you can make anything from flasks to raw gems to potions, and of course the living steel bars are great right now because of the new BS specialized weapons.

Alchemy is a lot better prof for gold but LW is 1 of the more expensive to level. If you plan on making lots of alts and leveling profs on them then it would be better to keep lw and drop alchemy. Originally Posted by mdnsiper7

I would drop LW. Doubly so if you don't have a steady supply of hides, etc.
LW is pretty terrible overall, though. It's expensive to craft for because skins/hides are costly to buy, and painful to farm.
Despite this, people are seldom willing to pay costs for crafted goods.
On the other hand, leveling it is a serious PITA, and if you change your mind, well, you sure as shit won't want to do that again.
