M'eh - nothing new here. Microsoft has been pretty tone-deaf and arrogant towards its customers lately. Windows 8 is a fiasco on the PC, but they keep telling everyone how stupid they are for not loving it. Now those dang customers are complaining that the next Xbox will be AOR? Why - those stupid morons can cram their 'satisfaction' sideways.

It is always a recipie for disaster when a company starts telling the consumers that they're wrong, and dumb, and that the company 'knows what you really want' better than you do. Smart companies will listen to concerns. Bad companies steamroll ahead and tell the customers they're dumb for disagreeing and then act all flabbergasted when the public goes & buys something from someone else.

Where do you see them denying this?

I would think that people would learn by now that unless the PR-talk outright denies something, you will be screwed.

There could still be some information management issues here though, since MS is on lockdown concerning Durango. But i doubt this, since the response has been delayed enough time to have gotten the clearance it needs if they wished to openly deny this.

Um... it's an apology, but my statement has nothing to do about where the next gen Xbox will be headed.
It was more on the line for the attitude and representation of the employee.
