This isn't a $600 rig but yes in many cases it is worth getting a Seasonic unit even in lower budget rigs. It would be "shoving down throats" if the product suggested was bad and/or highly overpriced. Suggesting a Seasonic OEM because it's more or less the best quality out there and are still competitively priced makes perfect sense. Is it ALWAYS the best choice? No but majority of the time it is.
For single card configuration:
Seasonic 520W PSU M12II (modular)
PRO550W XFX Core Edition (non-modular)
The OCZ-ZT is fine but from what I can tell the 650 version is €92 and the 550 version is €85 Not really making it a better buy in this situation.
On a sidenote looks like OCZ took over the Silencer MK series from PC-Power & Cooling.

Of the big three (Delta, Enhance and Seasonic), Seasonic ranks third.
Most of the time it doesn't matter. If you really want a high quality PSU, you should be looking at the AX/Seasonic X series. There are minor faults with the Seasonic S12ii/M12ii lines, but they're acceptable given the price. Likewise, other non-Seasonic PSUs have minor faults as well, but they're acceptable given the price.
The soldering and workmanship is not as good as we see in Seasonic's high end models, but is acceptable.
The Seasonic M12II-620Bronze is a power supply that is kind of hard to quantify in some ways. It is very much an older design and its load tests bear that fact out.
Despite what a lot of people make it out to be, Seasonic is not the best thing since sliced bread.
Are you trying to prove a point?
Look at the price for the PSU's, there is really no reason to not get the XFX or Seasonic, you know trying to stay on topic and get Op the best option within his budget. He gets a quality PSU with enough power and save money compared to the OCZ ZT, what is there not to like?
I'm not trying to be a dick or impersonate a moderator, but this thread is going a bit offtopic.
Do you have any questions left for us, OP? The build that tenangrychickens' posted looks solid to me. As demonstrated above, the PSU choice is debatable, lol
