Tortos 25 hc wat do?

So we're on Tortos HC now. We're using a monk tank and a bear tank. The bear is picking the bats, but he seem to get gibbed fast.

Glyphed CoE on them doesnt slow them much and he can't get away from them.

If kiting isnt a possiblity, should we kill the bats? Or should we get a warrior/dk for the bats? How do most guilds handle this fight?

Warrior on bats, kill every wave.

We used a Frost DK to kite the bats, not killing them at all. Didn't only give us more time on boss, but for example Warlocks could get awesome single-target DPS from it (SB:SoC, FnB:Immolate on bats). Using your monk to this will work just as well.

He should toggle off RP walking, that is the only conceivable way a he wouldn't be able to outrun a 70% slowed mob... Even then... Run speed on his boots, could probably outwalk them.

Any tank can do the job well. Cycle CD's on the bat tank when they are picked up and setup a stun rotation. During that stun, have your bat tank grab his shield and nuke the adds. Rinse and repeat. If you wish to cheese it, have the monk kite the adds by tossing booze on them the entire fight, along with MDs from your hunter(s), if you have any.

Kiting with a monk tank makes this in essence freeloot if the monk knows what he does so I'd personally give it a try especially if you lack dps.

We killed the bats. Once people started focusing down the turtles very quickly, there was plenty of time to kill bats afterwards and have spare time for the boss before the next call of turtles. Just make sure people are bursting them down asap. The sooner the raid can stop dodging shells, the sooner bats can die and the boss health drops.

we used our monk for kiting through out the whole fight, tho we had a few problems with ppl getting aggro on bats later on in the fight. We solved this by having me (hunter) and another hunter MD'ing all bats to our monk tank. Get that sorted and dont fuck up on kicking the breath and use bl sub 20% its as stated, more or less free loot.

None the less many of the tactics listed here is valid you just need to find one that fits with your raid group. good luck.

Drakzlol - please post some logs. Maybe someone can have a look at those and can give you other pointers on tank survivability issues and what not.
