I'm actually notorious with the people who know me for only ever being able to sleep well during movies. I fell asleep to the biggest action scene in Princess Mononoke with the volume so high that the RAs complained and forced us to turn it down. Yet if I can hear people walking down the hall or a light turns out outside or there is a temperature change between 5 and 10 degrees I wake up. 'the fuck is wrong me?

That's the thing though, I have severe issues with concentrating because I feel like I have to concentrate on everything. I unintentionally eavesdrop on literally every single conversation I can here. I can't even think properly if other people are talking because I'm thinking about what they're saying and I'm thinking about the fact that I'm thinking about them talk and I'm thinking about how that's reducing my ability to think and I'm thinking that thinking that thinking about the person who is talking is also reducing my ability to think so I give up and go outside. Being able to tune out to one's surroundings is a good skill to have, I am able to fully immerse myself in a book regardless of the noise level around me so long as I know what the noise is (i.e. what's causing it) and why it's there. So I was known for being that kid who could read on the school bus and in the school cafeteria during lunch.
I have serious issues.

I've always had issues understand what people are saying, not the actual content of what they're saying, but the sounds. I've always thought one of the main reasons that I prefer to type, write, text, or otherwise communicate without sound is for this reason. Hell, it's likely a major reason I was drawn the the Internet.
