Except that's ususally the publisher's fault, with piracy you hurt mostly the developer. Especially if you pirate indie games, which a ton of people do.

Pirating indie games should be a crime punishable by death. They're often the most innovative enjoyable games and don't cost 35 quid for the same rehashed shit.
