Depends on how invested people are in quitting, and how deep their addiction is. I smoked a lot when i was in Korea, and I ended up just not doing it anymore without much trouble.

Hand and mouth habits, it's why when some people are quitting they do things like suck on pens/straws. It feels more natural is they can also blow out vapour.

It creates water vapor that you inhale, rather than smoke. There is nothing other than that, unless you have the nicotine ones and/or the flavored ones.

Some people do quit smoking by chewing on toothpicks, or having a lollipop.
