I like the random drops. Yeah its based on luck but you need to look at the games life span. Everyone would quit if they just geared and got world best stuff. With this system you are rewarded the more you play. Yeah, You can hit a gold site or buy items from the RMAH but enjoy paying 250$ per item or 100's of dollers in gold just to make yourself decent.

The only thing that "RNG itemization drops" does is make sure there is no true BiS item. Any drop you find can be that big ticket item. I know this because back in the day i got back to back ring drops in Act2 that ended up selling for 317m and 550m. Its luck. I've found around 8 items thats sold for 2 billion and i have even made some cash in life selling gold so i think the game is perfect where its at.

People are being way to harsh, Wacthing what people say about the game makes me think " Man these guys need to take a good look at diablo 2" and when they say : Oh i played D2 for years! I just think "Yeah right" D2's got nothing. All the D2 vets i play with agree.
" The fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom, Therefore he who has no fear of god has no wisdom "
People saying we are in the end-times really don't know anything. Such as there's going to be 7 years of world peace before it happens and as long as china and russia are still a thing its safe to say its not going to happen anytime soon.

Of course I will buy it, even the CE. And be it just because I collect Blizzard CEs and because I want the WoW pet which hopefully will be included.
So it doesn't really matter if I still play D3 by then (which I probably will...I still enjoy the game) and what changes there will be.

  3. #223
still trying to erase diablo3 out of my head.
    so: NO

  4. #224
    Yes.

But just like with D3 classic, I will complete the story and then abandon it. The auction house can go fuck itself, so I stopped playing immediately after I killed Diablo.

  5. #225
Until RNG is the only way to progress like it is now I won't touch it, not even with a 2 meter long pole. The current system is simply irritating if I wanted to gamble I would play in a freaking casino!

Not unless they give it to me with my warcraft sub like they did last time. Even if they did I'm not sure I would sign up for another annual pass just to get the d3 expansion.

Tried 1.0.8, the game is getting better and better.

Nothing can change the mess AH is doing. It should never been implemented at start.

But they are putting more and more ways to play it and actually gear your character without it, so to me is becoming more and more appealing.

I will buy if it the majority of the following happens:

    1) At least 2 Acts with far larger areas

    2) Increase to 8 player teams

    3) Instanced main towns where we can see other players not in our group

    4) More examples of the Hellfire Ring crafting

    5) Full skill revamp. Give players the ability to learn skills via D2 style talent trees. Putting more points into a talent not only increases it's damage/utility but also unlocks more runes to further enhance the skill. You can put up to 10 points (60 points total at level 60, no points for paragon levels) to a single spell, unlocking the 6 different runes at the 10th upgrade. And if you put 10 points into a skill, you can combine two rune skills for an even better skill. Example, Acid Cloud at 10 levels can be combined with Lob Blob and Acid Rain to create a gigantic aoe spell.

    6) I don't know the details of the itemization patch, but I would like the ability to rune weapons with specific +skill damage to our weapons. It would work like the Gem crafter where we start off with all of the weak patterns and find more off enemies. It would range from +1 all the way to +9 and crafting the higher level ones is similar to gems. Another timesink!

    7) Also with weapons, I'd like to see actual options to endgame killing. Give players more than just a Skorn to aim for and have multiple variations.

    8) Another NPC that can swap certain stats for others similar to what Wow has (Example, swap 30% of All Resist for the budget equivalent of crit damage). This would reduce the dependency on the AH somewhat.

    9) Transmog would be great. I'd love to swap in my Skorns and my Zunimassa set for some older looking legendaries. Dyeing the items doesn't do much when it's the same graphic.

Overall, I want to "PC-ify" Diablo 3, give players the ability to customize their characters, their abilities and their playstyle and make it easier to not rely on the AH all of the time.

Nope, probably not. I'm quite happy with PoE atm.

I like the Blizzard games, I'll probably buy the expansion just to have it even though I'm not playing D3 that much.

  11. #231
Buy a d3 expansion? Not a chance in hell.

  12. #232
"Buy" would be the wrong word. I'll use the profits from one flipped item to get the next edition of Wall Street Simulator 3, for sure.

Diablo 3 did not live up to the expectations of the previous games(impossible anyway), but it was still one of the best games of 2012, and certainly gave you more bang for buck than the average PC game nowadays.

Yes, I will certainly be buying the expansion.

If it is just an extra act and 2 classes, probably not.

I expect a lot more content and some type of class customization. Right now, every wizard is pretty much the same and every difficulty is the same. I get bored around the Skeleton King every time I try playing again.

Atm to put it bluntly - No.

However one of the things Blizzard do which I enjoy about all of their games is how they always change things up with expansions and improve. So as long as they make enough changes that I feel help it's endgame and particularly it's story then I will consider it. I do not know what they can change with the AH specifically as removing it would be far too blunt in execution, but I'd like to see the game made far more independent of it which from what I gather is what they're doing via patches atm.

So if they add enough, sure I'll get it. But due to the problems of D3 I will absolutely not preorder or tbh think about buying it for a over a month after it's launch. I want to be sure it's good.

  16. #236
Definitely, D3 is a great game. I keep dropping in every few months to play it for a week or two, then go do other stuff. Can't say the same for most other games.

Every time I return to it, the game has improved. My main complaint is the unfortunate story, but you can't really patch that, so y'know. I look forward to an expansion, at any rate.

If my friends will buy it, with whom I played D3 at launch, then yeah, sure. I liked the cooperative part of it, and would really enjoy it again.

    My answer is no.

I was a big fan of Diablo series, I really liked the finishing D3 as a single player on Normal but as I wanted to progress further, it because obvious this game was made around the Auction House. Diablo atmosphere was lost as I kept spending more and more time browsing AH in order to have a chance, while bosses on Nightmare and Hell kept giving crappier items than stuff in Act3 Normal.

The magic is lost and with it I left my Diablo love in the past.

Nope. Getting Diablo III for free was nice with the Annual Pass, but I don't really enjoy that style of game.

So essentialy you want Diablo 2 with WoW gimmicks.
    No thank you.
I like games to be original, which (weird as it may sound) Diablo 3 is.
The patches up to 1.0.8 have shown me that the dev's truly care about D3, and are actually doing their best to improve it.

    6. Make the game more difficult. (nothing worse than being able to be.
    7. Redesign the pvp. Blizzard could easily add PK, Ladders, Achievements and cater to people who like true pvp. (Sorry blizzard, I'm not going to play WoW if I want to pvp)
    1. Most likely will happen
    2. no way it will ever happen
    3. Nope.
    4. Perhaps, would be nice
    5. "An expansion pack, expansion set, or supplement is an addition to an existing role-playing game, tabletop game or video game." -Wikipedia, so probably yes.
    6. Turn on MP10. If you can beat this on infern easily: congratulations, you've beaten the game.
    7. They might, but PvP is pretty new so it isn't even done yet (mayor pvp patch is 1.1).
