Lowering haste for crit? BrM tank

So I'm tanking for 10m guild and were currently working on horridon. Yes i know this is very early and we only just started last week. I'm currently sitting on 9050 haste with ascension. I've been doing some research on crit vs haste and basically my question is if its better to lower my haste to around 7k and gem for crit instead. I should still have decent chi gen and the crit would give me better uptime on EB. Hoping to get some insight into this from more experienced tanks.

The question is: what are you doing with all that haste? Haste gives energy, energy means chi. I can't imagine needing to purify that often with your gear and the content you do. So yeah go for crit I'd say.

You can definately cut back. Everyone has their comfort zone, I like between 6 to 6.5k and I still manage exp hardcap and buffing to 42% crit or so without starting HMS yet. Some people run haste as low as 4.5-5k. 9050 definately seems a bit high.

My sweetspot for Haste is also around 6-6.5k for what feels right.

doesn't avoiding a hit mean less need for purifying brew?
crits proc elusive brew and should be looked at as avoidance.

gifts of the ox, chi wave expel harm etc can all crit as well right?
whereas haste doesn't do much for those?

That is only roughly 1.5 Chi/min difference in resource generation it's not a huge difference, especially with the 4P.
