As I said it depends on how it is used. Not to mention the vast majority of the night elves fought to stop the legion. Arcane itself is not evil, it sustained most life on Azeroth, before the well imploded, the current world tree draws from the new wells power as well. The light could be abused in the same way if those who abuse it blieve what they are doing is righteous. Druidism can be abused as well and is not as healthy to the environment as many believe etc.

Putting the blood elves on the same pedestal as Gul'dan is quite exaggerated.

I agree with OP to a certain extent. We don't know what the Titans are exactly, but they do appear to be a race of humanoids so evolved that they appear to be gods, or at least god-like. Their technology is beyond even our RL technology, and their strength and intellect appear to be extremely high as well. One thing for sure: Blizz is fond of them, and they're not going anywhere.

The Titans are a race of god(Or Godlike) beings that are responsible for creation of worlds such as Azeroth throughout the universe. They come from the farthest reaches of the cosmos and shaped Azeroth like I said. They created smaller creatures such as Sea Giants to form the Seas and Earthen(Dwarven ancestors) to form caverns and "Mechagnomes" to keep archives of History of Azeroth's creation, life and what not. Dragonflights to safe guard the World.

I'm not sure how they came to be about or what not but that sums it up.

Interesting is that many races such as Troll have names for them. The Trolls call them "The Traveler's".

Oh and their High Council is called the Pantheon. It's Lead by Aman'Thul the "High Father."

They want to bring Order to the Universe because I think they believe that there must be order.

Sargeras the brother to Aman'Thul was the Defender of Worlds ultimately fallen into madness believing that what the Titans are doing is unnatural and seek to form an Army to undo the Titans work which would later become the Burning Legion.

im just throwing this out there. But could there be a possibility that the titans are the creation of a much higher power we are yet to discover? Perhaps a monotheistic god. Maybe im getting my lore wrong but im sure we still dont have a definite source of the holy light. I mean I know that god was an acknowledged deity in the warcraft universe before the retconned for too closely resembling christianity. But what about the naaru arnt they angels of some sort? Where do they get there energy from? Where does the light come from? Who, whated created the (warcraft) universe lore wise? I think we just scratched the surface with the discovery of the titans. theres gotta be something bigger and more powerful.

Replace radiation with magic, and you've got it pretty solid there.

I suppose its just what they do. Blizzard have not fleshed out their motives to any degree of depth. Perhaps there will be a xpack featuring titans?

Following the destruction of Silvermoon, Kael began to notice an emptiness within himself and his brethren, an insatiable hunger and disharmony. After the battle, Kael told Vashj about how his people felt an emptiness ever since Quel'Thalas was destroyed. Vashj explained to Kael that just like the naga, his people were addicted to magic. Without the Sunwell to give them a constant supply of magical energies, they would surely suffer a fatal withdrawal. Kael had hoped Illidan might be able to cure the blood elves of their addiction to magic, and asked if he could help them. Illidan sadly told him that there was no cure for their condition, but promised Kael that if he joined him, he would provide the blood elves with enough magical energies to keep their hunger sated forever.

What people said is that it IS corrupting by its nature which is true. You draw it from twisting nether itself. You MUST learn how to control it. You use it carelessly and you will be corrupted. There's many source in Warcraft that point out that arcane is corrupting by its nature. Yes, it depends on how you control it. Magics like druidism and light won't corrupt you but it could be used by corrupted people. there're many expample in Warcraft that got corrupted by arcane because they used it carelessly. Shamanism,Druidism,Light won't do that to you physically.

Arcane is not corrupting, just think about the ley lines they are pure arcane energy, that are like blood vessels running through the planet . Arcane is an integral part of the world, it sustains much life. We have examples of arcane abuse, but in the end everything on Azeroth is connected to it.

Hm... it may not be inherently corruptive, but arcane magic is still very addictive and attracts demons (how they found Draenor and Azeroth in the first place, IIRC). The addicts can and do turn to the more powerful fel magic to sate their hunger. When the Sunwell fell the Blood Elves would suffer a fatal withdrawal if they didn't secure a new powersource

That is abuse though, the elves in general channeled the arcane in enormous quantities, it physically altered them and they became night elves. You could see arcane as a booster to health, night elves were immortal because they were directly linked to the well of eternity, prior to their link to the world tree. It is used to sustain the body and of course the moment the arcane is gone from the system it has dire consequences.

Titans are big scary people with a god-complex. As to your second question: OCD.

They are immortal because Nozdormu blessed them not because of arcane and you do not have to abuse arcane for it to corrupt you. Just using it carelessly will do. DEMON feed on arcane energy. No other magics has ever corrupted people in warcraft except arcane. Arcane is like drug. This is why it's corrupting by its nature. If its not corrupting then no matter how you use it, it won't corrupt you just like druidism. There has never been even once that people are corrupted by druidism. There's only people who are corrupted that use druidism. Ley line's lore is also not entirely canon because it comes from RPG. Some of it appear in official games but some information of it are wrong such as ley line is source of elemental power and natural power. Elemental power of shaman comes from spirits and Druidsm comes Azeroth's power itself. Ley line can't possibly have healing power as RPG stated too because arcane magic hasn't been known to have healing power. I have never seen one.

Ley lines are the blood veins of the world itself, Azeroth thrives of arcane energy and the well of eternity enhanced it in the past. The new world tree draws it's power directly from the new one. The most crucial part is canon though, the well of eternity was created to sustain much of Azeroths life, so if the arcane was used to support the life of the planet, everything should be corrupted by now by your logic. Also the legion destroys worlds, by absorbing the arcane from these planets, leaving empty husks.

And there were people corrupted through druidism, the worgen would like to have a word with you. It had a reason why that particular form was forbidden by Malfurion.
