    Build Feedback

    Does this build look decent? Hoping to be able to play some of the better games on high settings e.g DayZ, Crysis etc.

    Do you do any kind of heavy video rendering or streaming to warrant the 3770k? If not then 3570k is all you need, performance is the same in almost all the games.
    Video card is reference, meaning bad cooling which means almost no overclocking capability.
    1000w PSU could power 4x660 cards, immensely overkill.

    If you desire to play Crysis 3 with the 660 at anything higher than medium/high then i'm afraid it's not cutting it.

    -What is your overall budget?
    - Are you planning on overclocking the GPU?
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

    As Toffie mentioned, take the ~$100 you save from getting the 3570k and up your video card to a 670.
    You can also go with a 650W PSU (make sure it's a quality brand: Corsair, Seasonic, etc.) and put the difference toward a SSD. You won't get more FPS from a solid state drive, but it's a huge quality of life thing, especially when you're spending this much money on a PC.

    I would check out Marest's Sample Builds (sticky in Computer forums) for a good idea of what to get if you are unsure about PSU brands, CPU coolers, etc. I would also recommend that you get a non-reference video card, like a Gigabyte Windforce for lower temps, or a factory-overclocked card. A 670 will handle just about anything and is definitely worth the extra cash.

    I do plan on streaming, I actually have 2 SSD's already so I'll just use those. My overall budget is around $1500 - $2000 max. If anyone want's to make me a build that's fine, I have a good amount of computer knowledge so what I put together is what I thought would be good.

    Okay, suggestions:

    1) (OPTIONAL) Drop the 3770k to a 3570k;
    2) Get a good quality video capture card;
    3) upgrade that 660 to either a Radeon 7950 OR a GTX670;
    4) (OPTIONAL) Change the ASROCK for an ASUS P8Z77-V LE PLUS.
    5) (OPTIONAL) Get the Crucial M500 960GB SSD.

    EDIT: here's a build that includes both a Capture card and a 3770k at around $1600:

    Xozat: yeah, I'd basically change my mobo and RAM for yours and call it done: if you want to stream, the VC Card I put in at the bottom should take you to around $1600.

    Swop the gpu to the WF3 cooler. I think the wf2 has 2 fans, which uses a smaller pcb. Get the 3 fan model, that one should be using a 680 pcb.

    I'm Australian and I have to buy the parts off of PCCaseGear, So it's kinda pricey but It's fine.
