The guild I was in at the time spent a very long time trying to get Putricide down.

At the time, Kael'thas Sunstrider. I think we spent a month on him. BC was a very different time in WoW....if a guild spent a month on an end boss now people would probably quit playing.

Spine. Spent 4 months. Then we tried with a druid tank instead of a warrior and got it on the third try.

The one I can remember best was Heroic Spine 25. Took over 150 wipes to get it down and then kill Madness in only 17 >.>
I think BC had the most unforgiving bosses out of all expansions. Didn't seem like a single raid was free of struggle.

Vanilla - Four Horseman and Cthun are the hardest bosses in the game during current progression. Hands down.
BC - Muru
WOTLK - Professor Putracide And or Yogg 0 lights
Cata - 25 spine and Sinestra
MoP - so far H iron Quon just because were currently wiping non stop.

Overall - The Illidan Queue timer gets my vote. 4000+ in queue and a 2 hour wait.

First tier of MoP it was probably Vizier HC, have around 100 wipes on him.. This tier so far it has been Horridon with about 80 wipes I think. 40 on Magera but it should die soon!

Thats Lappe from Paragon, killed Heroic Lich King before you and anyone else the first week 5% buff was activated. I'm guessing you took it down after 10 or 15% and many weeks of farming gear.
