    Yeah, I agree with this one, though the rating may vary alot from season to season (and FoTM rollers..)

    clearly you don't play with many players over 2400 [achievo wise obv..because right now 2400 is cata 2800 aka glad]. 2-2200 is the bracket full of raging retards because they're stuck there and most will likely never manage to get out. annoys me when i hear things about glads being d-bags because its not true..that's the rival / duelist mo.

    People seem confused about current capability which is essentially skill and unutilized potential which is slightly different. A 2400 3's player is more skilled than me. I don't play 3's right now but even thought I might have the potential of getting high rated, I still can't consider myself to be just as skilled. This is pretty much the reason people buy boosts. They think they're good enough to get higher but they come up with random excuses to convince themselves that they're worth the boost. That's another topic tho.

    Pretty much this.

    Funny - every time I did any kind of PVP in the game, the only two kinds of people seemed to be a bunch of people running around fighting each other, and one guy who did nothing during the whole battle except scream about how bad everyone else was.

    1700-1800 is not average at least not in my server, in Tichondrius if you are 1800 you can be 2200+ in any other battlegroup which i consider to be pretty damn good...

  6. #46
    A high rating means, most of the time, you are playing an OP comp. Sad but true.

  7. #47
    That's why you can't have such rigid definitions. Is a 2200 thug cleave more skilled than an 1800 ele/destro team for instance? Doubtful.

  8. #48
    i never consider myself "higher lv". i consider myself a newbie all the time, and all the teams i bear must be even more "newbie" then me.

    I usually consider 2k people at least decent if anything. But really rating doesn't mean all that much. Prior to 2k rating I've beaten 2.2k teams. As I've seen really good players don't always have the chance to get a good rating. And I've seen 2k+ players play like 500 rating people.

    Given that there are no 2700+ teams in the world right now, I think you can probably lower the 2700 bracket to like... 2400 and have it still be meaningful. On many battlegroups 2400 is Rank 1 right now.

    Edit: Just to drive home the point about how much variation there is between seasons, in the last seasons of both WotLK and Cata, 3k was probably the "badass" cut off, and the top team was like 3300: compared to just 2400/2700 this season.

    All relative and depends on what class your playing.

    A ret pally or enhance shaman achieving 1650 is the same skill level as a lock or hunter hitting 2.2k

    This Russian with 4200k and 18 hk is surely a different level of pvper. ^^

    So since it´s too easy to get away with wintraded rankings they aren´t worth to be talked about. You recognize an outstanding pvper if you meet one! :-)

    4200000 what? I assume you ment 4.2k?
    And yeah, RBG rating dosnt matter at all, its a reason most RBG pugs ask about 2.2k in any arena bracket insted of 2.2k RBG achie..

    Arena Ratings and IQ (Peak Ratings):

    1-1500: Difficulty with basic motor functions.

    1501-2000: Borderline retardation. Qualifies for handicapped parking.

    2001-2400: Average Intelligence, realizes they are bad.

    2401-2600: Above Average Intelligence. Capable of separating goods from bads.

    2601-2800: Highly intelligent

    2801-2999: Genius

    3000+: Super Genius

    3000 legitimate rating is next to impossible right now. You know that he wrote that in WotLK yeah?

    Ya I checked before I posted but ignored them (they were <2700 last week), a single 2701 Thugcleave hardly should qualify as the only 3 "badasses" in WoW. Reckful is at like 2500 right now, Talbadar's at 2405 - are these players 200-300 rating below badass? If anything I'd addendum that list as "2400+: 'Badass', 2700+: 'Broken Comp'"

    i play @ 2k with my toons i dont consider myself a "good" player

    2s = 2k
    3s =2,1k
    rbg 2,1k

    but i dont seriously play evry week cause i dont like arena :X
    I know i could play way better if i would be intereseted or would watch pvp streams or stuff like that

    LOL.. this is a funny joke in 5.2 ^^

    ..actually a pretty dumb thing to say in any expansion. most people can roll out of bed and get 1650, and most of them could do it playing enh / pally / x! if you struggle to do that there is absolutely NO way you'd reach 2200 this season with any class in the game playing any comp, sorry.

    and putting locks next to hunters right now. .
