It's much more likely there would be an American revolution against the liberals.
pretty much this. the average US citizen is all talk. if they actually had the opportunity to act on their words they wouldnt do a damn thing about it and continue to sit on their ass. that and the government pretty much has its heel on the throats of the general population these days.
not saying that it 100% couldnt happen because honestly, who knows. its just very VERY unlikely to ever happen in this day and age.
Americian revolution against the rich? no now a Americian revolution against the obama and the failed politicians we got today most likey

Honestly, the "liberal media" is the biggest intellectual cop-out.
If there's enough organisation and popular outrage against the rich for a violent revolution... don't you think there'd be a political one already?
just look at the arab spring.. those were countries no where close to globally integrated as the US and it still took them 20-30 yrs before they started the violent overthrow..
Americans are not subjected to even 1/10th the problems countries like Libya or Syria were / are... yeah you have a bunch of crazy in america claiming all sorts of things but they are not actually the majority... there are a lot but no where close to the majority of the population. For a violent overthrow you would need many factors.. Terrorist attacks do the exact opposite of drive the country apart it actually unifies them. So you would need the government imprisoning huge swaths of people for political dissent, shooting random people for not obeying orders from police, the creation of a special police force to regulate the propaganda, and more...
You do not have half the shit wrong in the US that some americans claim. Most of those going off the handle with how bad the US is have not seen it from outside the country, they just hear their stories of how great the country was and think their version sucks compared so they bitch and moan more. The country is no where near a violent revolution, but i do see a future political shift, no different then it was during the 1960s civil rights movements, when people claimed a violent revolution as well.. it will just be those stuck in the past being pushed out and those that can hide their true opinions sneaking by..
That is why you find the occassional politician getting caught for racist stuff and being driven out in seconds, but go back to 1950 and that would not even garner a blink.
Yeah, a revolution against less than 20% of the population, and near zero percent of elected officials. You do realize the only real liberal presence with anyone in office is the Green Party, right?
I wish people who live in the US would grasp the basic fact that we have NO liberal party. Democrats aren't liberals, they're moderate. As in, to the right, just not as much as Republicans. We're easily the most conservative first world country in the world.

I can't imagine civil war working out too well for the uprisers in an age of asymmetrical warfare. Maybe something like the US civil war where one part of the country fights the other could end up not completely one-sided. But in an age of drones and wiretapping and computer-guided sniper rifles and smart bombs the people with the money are the ones who have the advantage.
