    need help with new desktop

Hey I'm looking to upgrade from laptop to desktop, But atm I'm currently lost on what parts to chose, but at least I got a good budget for this build and I need a monitor as well.

So I prefer if its close to 2k but I can stretch to 2,5k $

It's going to be used in heavy gaming and some auto desk 3ds max projects. So any help is much appreciated

    could use some more info.

Include the following information when posting a request.

    Budget
    Resolution
    Games / Settings Desired
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)
    Country
    Parts that can be reused
    Do you need an OS?
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?

Would say that picking "gaming 1740" from here and switch processor from i5-3750k to i7-3770k is pretty close to your needs and good starting point. Maybe consider 32GB RAM instead of 16GB depending on how complicated 3dsmax projects you have and you can also switch motherboard for cheaper model easily.

Monitors is whole another thing since you probably want two, and if you need those to be color accurate and/or possible to calibrate the price goes way up.

Win7 Home Premium is a no-go because it has 16GB RAM maximum, you'll want to have the option to add more for complicated 3D projects. Would recommend getting Win8 instead of Win7 Professional.

Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.

As I'm moving to a smaller apartment, I don't have room for 2 screens. So I'm looking for one good solid one that's around 27" or something

I'd still recommend the Dell then, 27" at 1080p is kinda "meh". 1440p is ~$650 ASUS PB278Q unless you wanna take your chance with some Korean/Ebay ~$350-400 one.
