    Helping friend build budget PC for £300ish

    I have a friend who want to buy a PC that can run wow at a constant 30 fps at about fair-good settings or better or worse for the money he has.

    His computer (or laptop) at the moment can barely run wow on low settings in raid or battleground environments. I have never ventured into budget PC's so help in what to buy would be great. He basically wants the cheapest computer he can get for £300.

    Budget= £300/$467

    Resolution=Highest resolution possible for what he can pay for, let's say 720p or around this benchmark

    Games / Settings Desired= Basically only plays wow and he would possibly like to venture into League of Legends and such.

    Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)=He doesn't really use it for anything else, but has an interest in making videos. His laptop right now cannot record videos due to bad laptop and fraps tanking his framerate to like 5 fps.

    Country=UK(scotland specifically if that matters?)

    Parts that can be reused= nothing.

    Do you need an OS?I have built my own PC recently and I have windows 7 spare but I am guessing the OEM is 1 system exclusive? i.e. can I give him it to install windows 7 onto his computer, then get it back?

    Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? He has peripherals needed, just needs the tower.

    P.S. He has limited knowledge of building, but I can help him

    EDIT: Looked at some sample builds, one was like $480 I'm guessing this build would probs be best for him maybe a little cheaper.

    Not gonna happen. Up it to £400 and there are some possible compromises to make.

    Honestly? Ain't gonna happen. Increase budget (i.e. save up some money).

    Also, his resolution is determined by the monitor. What res monitor does he have?

    And also the 70-80 for windows. No, you cannot use the one already used on your system.

    I see, then 400 £ is a fine budget to work on unless he wanna run the game on a toaster.
