Is anyone else afraid?
i'm nervous... but i'm also excited. this could mean that we finally see that battlefront 3. it could also mean that it's terrible though.
Enter cash shop, have to give credit card info just to get past the cash shop, once you finally get to the actual game you have to pay per level past the first 3 after paying a 60 dollar box price, has multiplayer but you have to buy weekly passes, cash shop has lightsabers anyone can use and "special guns" that do better than average in pvp but cost 10 dollars a gun with limited ammo that costs 5 dollars a clip.
(Warframe) - Gold Tiger & Typhoon-
(Neverwinter) - Trickster Rogue & Guardian Fighter -
Well . . . shit.
So the Evil Empire got their hands on the . . . evil Empire . . .
Oh well, considering I don't think EA "ruined" Mass Effect, and depending on whether they fix the Dragon Age II mistakes in DAIII, there's still hope.
i was not crying in the shower
i just realized how i'll never get to meet darth vader and then soap got in my eye - Kylo Ren
Its better than star wars games floating around in the ether I suppose...........
Origin would get a huge playerbase because of this.
Anyway, I hope Disney just reboots everything except the movies. There are way too many books and games as it is.
But yeah, I'm pretty sad at this. I was hoping it would be licensed out piecemeal to studios where it made sense. That way we could get a good scope of games from good developers across multiple publishers. With it sitting with EA alone, the scope of games we may get is dramatically limited now : /
Overall I'm not displeased with this announcement. I really couldn't see Disney going to studios piecemeal.
This is either going to be good, or horribly bad :/
Still if they get Force Unleashed 3 off the ground then it may be a good thing.
Battlefront 3, BUT please do not give us map pack shit and micro transactions
i live by one motto! "lolwut?"
I really want a full space fighter game.
EA will fuck this up lol Somehow...some way they will turn this once glorious franchise games and shit all over them
EA? Well then, I guess I'm not buying any future Star Wars games.
Chances are they'll be rushed to be released as soon as they can, the games will tank hard and the developers will be stripped down and most of the employees fired...
If it wasn't EA I would probably be more excited. If Bioware wasn't in the state it is now, I would probably be more excited. And Kotor 3? Might as well name it 2 and say that the abomination they tried to release never existed... Or avoid it altogether so they don't bastardize the series into a Mass Effect clone like they did with Dragon Age.
I'll wait and see what the games will look like, but I'll be a cynical hard ass untill release day.
I AM the world's first Shadow Mage.
If we can actually get a good Battlefront 3 though, I don't care what EA does with the rest of the Star Wars games. Just make sure I get good Battlefront games and they can make all the rest about Jar Jar or whatever.
