Question concerning Jin-Rokh fight

After i killed the boss today I noticed on recount that a rogue and monk had about 30 procs of something called "Lightning Strike" and it crit for anywhere between 100k and 400k for them.. they were the only two in the raid with that as well. i was wondering if anyone could shed any light on it for me? i just really want to know what causes it. thanks in advance!

Oddly, this is ALSO the name for the vial of shadows proc...

But what you are seeing is the CAPACITIVE METAGEM that is the result of the legendary questline (though not the end result- we see that in 5.4 or 5.5). On Verain, it is about 8.0 to 8.5% of my total dps on single target.

What Loki said. It does something like 1000 damage + 75% of AP I think.

Edit: according to wowhead it's 280 + 75% AP

He has a heroic only ability called Lightning Strike. I'm guessing recount was logging it incorrectly as a player ability. Was this on Heroic?

ehh a lot of thier tooltips are wrong lol. i saw one and it said 100 nature damage lol
