    New Wolfenstein game announced

    http://ie.ign.com/articles/2013/05/0...-the-new-order

Last one wasn't very good, but maybe we can hope for something better now?

I still remember playing the first Wolfenstein game on C64, you kids missed out on this

Uh, nice way to assume your amazing taste in games is the gold-standard. Also, "you kids" is a great way to antagonize 99.9% of the people that read this, even though surely many were around to play the original Wolfenstein.

The last one was not bad at all.

Hopefully WNO will be good. Always enjoy shooting Nazis. Q4 2013 though? Seems awfully soon.

Music choice in the trailer was really cringe inducing. Sorta disrespectful and cheap.

    Didn't enjoy. >.>

    Disrespectful towards Jimi Hendrix, perhaps.

Anyway, blues rock has no place in the 40's.

Wow dude, talk about over reaction. I didn't realise anyone would take offence, but next time I shall use the expression " younger generation " if you prefer that?

The first game was from '81, so easy there. Having been alive and old enough to play Castle Wolfenstein in '81 doesn't exactly make you the Wise Old Man living on top of a mountain...

Amazing sig, done by mighty Lokann

I'm just getting a "meh" feeling about it. The last Wolfenstein I enjoyed was Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I don't care for singleplayer, I want a fun multiplayer.
    This map is the reason

And flamethrowers, oh yes the flamethrowers.

And the C64 version wasn't released until a couple of years later. Ah, those heady days of rushing home from school to play some 8 bit gaming goodness with news reports about the Miner's Strike and the LA Olympics blaring in the background after watching some Dangermouse and staying up to watch the original "V". Good times, though Castle Wolfenstien wasn't nearly as good as the OP remembers.

    RTCW? Great flashbacks there.

It wasn't an overreaction. If you a/ don't think anybody else here played Wolfenstein, b/ assume everybody else thought the reboot was terrible, and c/ generalize anybody with you [insert group here] and not think anybody will 'take offence (offense)' then you can ignore my response completely and I will remember not to give a shit about anything you say.

"The game is pitched as a "reimagining" of the long-running franchise."

    Stopped reading.

I loved RtCW, it was great, and I only did the story really.

This thing? 1960's nazi robots control the world? Why make it Wolfenstein?

I remember my last game being Return to Castle Wolfenstein, looking forward to new ones

As long as they don't drop the ball on the brand it's fine for me, this "reinventing" trend is extremely volatile D:

Please for the love of God why can't they just update Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. It is literally one of the greatest games ever, and it was fucking free. Also remove bloody ADS and bring back something fast paced again, the fps genre these days is so fucking bland.
