    some help with upgrading..

So, im not the most technically minded person and I recently bought a new pc from overclockers.
Unfortunately it's not living up to the performance that id like and I wondered what id have to upgrade to get it running wow on high setting's without a problem (in a raid environment)
    Current specs are as follows:-

    "AMD X4 Raid" AMD X4 640 3.0GHz DDR3 Quad Core Gaming System
    Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD
    FA2 GeForce GT640 2048MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card
    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050)
    Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/4GX)

I'd hazard a guess that the graphics card would be a good start.
Im currently running on low settings and hitting 60+fps outside if raids, between 20&30 (max) raiding.

    Any help would be great!

while that gpu (graphics card) isn't that great the lack of performance in wow is likely to be blamed on the CPU.

CPU is under the heatsink, its a small chip 'the brains of the pc'. If you wanted to upgrade it I believe the AMD FX-4300 would be a improvement and should match your motherboard. You would be looking at $120 from newegg. However if you want to see a nice jump in performance you will want to switch to a Intel cpu and motherboard. You would be looking around $300+ for an I5-3570k plus the mobo.

For the GPU (graphics card) you could look at getting a GTX 550TI which will have more performance over your current card, otherwise a more updated card would be a GTX 600 series.

I would say if you need to save money I would get the FX 4300 and a GTX 550TI or GTX 560TI as it would be fine in 10man raid for wow.

If you bought it within the last 30 days, return it and buy individual parts.

Just had a look at their returns policy, from what I've read it appears they'll only return it if its faulty or unused still in the pack, neither of which fits mine.
Guess ill have to suck it up and learn the lesson for next time!
May still consider trying an.upgrade on the graphics card (550 boost) and see if a specialist can overclock it.
Thanks for all your help folks.
Will come and seek some advice before buying a pc again!
