Anyhoo, I'm not British yet I use colloquial words and terms like bloody, two shakes of a lambs tail, cock of the walk and so forth. That's mostly for having been taught to it by both pedagogs and telly/entertainment. I think even general public education prefers the British, almost Oxfordian rather than American. But annoyingly I use both centre and center for example, no idea why. U's get added, so honour not honor.
