Pretty simple. I'm just about VP capped. All my non-tier items are 522 (except weapon, 1 ring, 1 trink)
Am I better off going 4/5 Tier 502, or all 522? If tier, which 4?

I'd go with two 502's for the 2pc and use two 522's.

Sounds like a fair compromise. You may want to delve a little further and figure out exactly which items will yield the best sockets/bonuses, secondary stats to perhaps reforge into crit or haste...I just got my 2pc Shadow set yesterday when I got new pants off Nalak - the bonus is quite nice and it's quite noticeable as I'm not refreshing as much and can cast more important things like MB/SW: D more often. If memory serves me correctly, if you have the Legendary Meta Gem, you can use it in the 502 helms.
