My guess is that they are croping the larger one into smaller parts...

The Hair seems polished as if Photoshoped...
yet... you can achieve that just by dragin a nicely alpha channeled picture on a Plane Model... EZ stuff...
edit: bigger one... thing is getting posted on "3rd community use" upload image sites...

Well that could just be web artwork, Blizzard makes heaps of it. If it is the new model it looks pretty cool though :P
