If you could make your own Class Quest.

    Greetings,

In a earlier topic on MMO-Champion i have wrote what i thought what i would like to see if they ever made spec/classed Quests again.
    http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...k-as-Scenarios

What i was thinking about is that they need to make Spec styled class quests, so each spec has their own massive questline u need to do to learn that spec!
This will probably lead to alot of hate because alot of people are lazy nowadays to actually do these giant things, but i think it's still fun if we had them!

So we all have our own class that we play, now what i was interested in. How do you guys would like to see each Quest spec class line?
I can't give examples of every class so i will only do my class what i think is nice to see, and you guys can do the same for your class and spec.

    The Begin.

We begin at level 1, The player Creates a human hunter and starts leveling.
After going through Elwynn Forest, Westfall and Redridge mountains the hunter has gained levels to become stronger.
The hunter has 5 standard abilities that you will learn if you haven't learned any spec yet.

    Specless Abilities:
    Arcane Shot
    Serpent Sting
    Hunter's Mark
    Concussive Shot
    Scatter Shot

When the hunter has reached level 20, He will get mail from a NPC that gives him information where he can go if he wants to learn to become a more powerful hunter!
From here, the hunter can choose where to go, and which spec to take.

    Beast Mastery.

The NPC stands in Arathi Highlands.
The hunter needs to find a way to get there, it can take a while before reaching there.
When he reached his destination he sees the Beast Mastery Trainer and from there the Questline begins.

    Quest 1.
You have came far, but your adventure has yet to begin, hunter.
if you want to become a true Beast Master then you have alot to learn yet.

To become a Beast Master you first need to know what animal you need to slay.

    Objective: Slay the following Animals.
    Elwynn Forest - Mangy Wolf.
Dun Morogh - Ragged Timber Wolf

    Teldrassil - Young Nightsaber

When you are done, come back to Arathi Highlands for further instructions.

    Quest 2.
You are better then i thought you were, hunter!
But to become a Beast Master you need to do much more then this!

There is a cave, in the area called Wetlands.
There is a beast, that i have had my eye on for quite awhile now.
If you want to become a true Beast Master i want you to slay this beast.

    Objective: Slay the Rare below.
    Wetlands - Razormaw Matriarch

Return to Arathi Highlands when you completed the Assignment.

    Quest 3. (Skill Tame Learned!)
You have amazed me hunter, You are almost there to become a true Beast Master.
But a Beast Master is not just about slaying beasts.

If you are ready to become a true Beast Master, then you will have to travel far once more to become friends with the following creatures.

    Objective: Tame the following Animals:
    Durotar - Dire Mottled Boar
    Ashenvale - Mist Howler
    Loch modan - Hill Fox
Stranglethorn vale - Elder Mistvale Gorilla

Travel back to Arathi Highlands to complete your journey.

Final Quest. (Learned the Spec Beast Mastery!)
You have proven me that you are more then just a regular hunter, You have learned how to be a true Beast Master.

You have now learned Beast Mastery.

    Marksmanship.

The NPC stands in Stranglethorn Vale.
When the hunter has reached the Marksmanship trainer he can begin his questline.

Quest 1. (Skill Steady shot learned)
Well, Do you really think you got the requirements to become Marksmanship hunter?
You have to earn that right first, Hunter.

Go visit the area called the Northern Barrens and kill the following Creatures with your Steady shot skill.

    Objective: Slay the following Animals.
    Durotar - Sunscale Raptor
    Durotar - Barrens Boar
    Durotar - Zhevra Runner

Return to me in Stranglethorn vale when you are done.

Quest 2. (Skill Aimed shot learned)
You have done well, i can see that you are able to carry a bow, hunter.
Now to prove me you are able to aim as good as you should be as a marksmanship hunter you need to do the following.

Go to these specif places all around Azeroth where a special Target dummy has been placed down, I want you to aim shot them down, if you can shoot them down you are worthy to become a marksmanship hunter.

Objective: Go to the following places.
    Redridge Mountain.
    Darkshore.
    Loch Modan.
    Ashenvale.
    Westfall.
    Durotar.
    Teldrassil.

Come back to Stranglethorn Vale when you have proven yourself.

Final Quest. (Learned the Spec Marksmanship!)
You have done well and you are strong enough to carry a bow.
You are allowed to call yourself a Marksmanship hunter now, Adventurer!

    You have now learned Marksmanship.

    Survival.

The NPC stands in Dustwallow Marsh.
When the hunter has reached the Survival trainer, he can begin the questline.

    Quest 1.

You came from far, You have entered the land of danger, hunter.
You know you need to be at your best to survive these lands?
And if you want to become a true survival hunter, you will have alot to learn.

To start, Kill 10 horde/alliance players, while Serpent string is active on them.

    Objective: Slay 10 enemy players.

Return to Dustwallow Marsh when you are done.

Quest 2. (Skill learned Trap Mastery)
You have done well, You have shown them that you are the one who can survive faster then they do.
But to survive in the wilds, you have alot more problems to worry about.

You have to use your traps to make sure you are secure!

    Objective: Trap the following Animals.
    Northern barrens - Sunscale Screecher

    Ashenvale - Ashenvale Bear
    Loch Modan - Hill Fox
    Duskwood - Barn Owl

Return to Dustwallow Marsh when you completed the assignment.

    Quest 3.
    Splendid!
You are showing improvements, keep up the work, you might even become as strong as me!

Now, There is a creature named Quall, he is known to fight like a hawk!
You must kill him, and me his corpse.
if you can manage to survive against such a mighty beast, then i know you are ready!

    Objective: Slay the following rare.
    Stonetalon Mountains - Quall.

Meet me in Dustwallow Marsh when you are done.

As nice as it looks - it's too much effort for getting specs. People want to level fast and play end game, not run around low level meticulously learning their class.

Maybe if it was a specialisation quest - so you spec it at level 10 as usual, then you get these quests - bulked out by a chain, at the end, you get a chance to tame a certain mob, or a vanity item reward.

I think it's counter-productive to what blizzard is trying to do at the moment with the game direction.

The whole Survival and kill players thing is a bit off too, seeing as most end game Hunters in PvP actually roll BM - this could confuse new players?

I'd make it a lot more dynamic personally.

Just have 1 quest every now and then where you get called up to service.

    Mage helping in arcane experimentation
    Priest helping with exorcism
Rogue stalking an enemy of the 'state'
Warrior training in a military style
Shamans and communing with the elements
    Monks already have theirs
    Hunters and tracking certain targets
Paladin cleansing and purging and hitting stuff with a big hammer
    Warlocks summoning and battling Demons
Death Knights... Do they really need it when they have a whole starting area?
Druids doing whatever...druids do, trees and animals

Some very basic examples, but enough to make you remember why you class is different and appreciate it

    1) Load the amount of weight I would deadlift onto the bench
    2) Unrack
    3) Crank out 15 reps
    4) Be ashamed of constantly skipping leg day

You're to be commended for putting time and effort into this idea, but personally, I'd be much more in favor of Willtron's ideas. There's no need to sacrifice ease of levelling for the feeling of class uniqueness.

I would personally have class quests back in as END game content. You get random item drops from either dungeons/raids that start a quest.

For hunters you get a new bow/pet - quest focuses on taming pets and killing targets while not being melee'd.

Warlocks/mages/priests/druids/shaman (spell casters) You get a new staff tailored to your class that boosts a specific spell (the spell affected changes with your spec) Quests range from healing targets (for healer specs) draining demons for power (mages/warlocks/spriests) to beating back enraged elementals (shamans/druids) dps shamans get an axe or a new enhancement to their totems.

Rogues get a stealth based mission, you have to pick pocket an enemy unlock a box and finally assassinate a target after avoiding the patrols of NPC guards.

Warriors, they have to use their heroic leap to platform jump before killing a serious of mobs. The end result has you facing "your self" where you have to defeat your own rage powered soul.

Paladins, either they get a healer version of the priest/druid/shaman quests or you get a smiting mission where you have to cure people of a sickness and killing multiple undead minions in EPL, before facing off against a dreadlord.

Monks, you get a brewing mission in all specs. end result is a staff weapon tailored to your spec. (I ran out of ideas for monks sorry!)

DK, involves mastery of the undead. You get sent deep under icecrown where you uncover some sort of ancient undead monster and you have to fend off other undead/npc deathknights while your dark ritual completes so you gain the "power" of this ancient horror. You get rewarded with a new 2handed weapon which contains the power of this being.

no doubt each of these quests has a long intro quest chain leading up to the final encounters and most if not all require a random quest item that drops from dungeons/raids to set you on this path.

Some sort of warrior class quest that sends you out slaying huge beasts to prove your worth, sending you across the world alot to gather trophies which would eventually culminate into a legendary shield reward.

Yes I want a damn legendary shield.

It is the price you pay for a class quest! ;D I honestly could not think of anything than platform jumping for warriors.

    Thanks=)
I don't really care what they do, but there should atleast be some adventure in your class, so you feel special :3

I dont want class quests, the warlock class quest just lets you recolor your attacks to green. What do you want other classes to get that they should already have?

I want something for all classes like what the monks have, a daily quest where you have to win a fight by using an ability you may not usually use and your reward is a stacking 1 hour 20% exp buff and every 10 levels you get a level appropriate belt or weapon.
