major flaw in gear design

so apparently you can now update your 483ilvl PvP items for 1500 CONQUEST points to 491.
so instead of buying the 496 item for 1250 points a clueless player might spend 1500 points to upgrade a 483 ring, neck etc.

blizzard has to change the update-curreny from conquest-points to honor for 483ilvl gear...else it's just stupid.

or am I forgetting something here?

They should also put training wheels on your mouse, and taller railings on your chair too, right?

483-> 491 via upgrades for slots like chest/helm/legs, even 1750 pieces end up being a net savings in Conq. No way to "fix" your initial issue without "fixing" that one too. Don't see what the issue is here...

Yes its stupid. Should be allowed to upgrade then with honor or not at all. It is not worth upgrading them or ever will be since tyrannical is better and your using the same currency to buy them.

Ehh, if you're playing catch up, spending 1500 pts to get a 491 chest instead of 2200 to get a 493 chest seems like a good way to save 700 conq.

Hypothetically if you do that on chest, legs, helm from last season, you could save 2100 conq, more than enough to get an extra 1750 pc.

Its convoluted and obviously hypothetical, but it is an option. Except the vendors aren't there....
