IRS fake "scandal" and other republican drummed up fake scandals

I'm betting this thread will be allowed to exist, unlike the other ones that were critical of Obama administration using the IRS as a political weapon.

What were there 3 or 4 that certain posters flamed and trolled until locked?

So, IRS targeting conservative groups is no big deal? Do you even know what IRS typically doing during such process? Do you even run your business?

The issue wasn't so much that they used buzzwords to select potentially political groups for review. The issue was that they solely used conservative-type wording to do so.

Had they included traditionally-liberal words like "progress" in their list, there would be no scandal. The issue is not, and has never been, that the conservative groups did not deserve scrutiny. It's that the methodology was slanted to pick them up specifically, but not liberal groups.

And there's zero evidence it was anything but internal to the IRS.

And US ambassador killed by CIA-proxy muslim extremist groups for refusing to pass them heat seeking missiles covered with fake "YouTube video scandal" is also no big deal?

Of course it isn't. Embassies being attacked is always tragic, but it happens. It happened multiple times under Bush II. This one only became a topic for outrage because the Republicans aren't in power, so the Republican base is desperate for some "bad thing" to pin on Obama.

That the WH official line hours after the event referred to the Youtube video could be for a host of completely-not-scandalous-in-any-remote-way reasons, like trying to keep intelligence under wraps until information is confirmed (also standard practice in police investigations), or guesswork that was off base in the early hours afterwards, or so on.

Benghazi is about as credible a "scandal" as birtherism.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".. All grades will be averaged a...nd everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that. (Please pass this on) These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

Ah yes the mystical superior and accurate "news source" that my liberal sister in law used to send me links of from her brother. Yes I've seen them, they aren't news but bad propaganda sites. But keep the faith in your biased "superior forms of "news"", I don't think there is much to sway that type of thinking.

But more likely, is facing the facts that the hope and change administration of transparency was guilty of not being any of those things and much more, they tuned out to not have to hear it. It's always easier to deny things you know little of, after all.
