Howl of Terror - do you use it?

I miss where you could put one point in HoT in the affliciton tree... this way you had like a 0,5 sec cast, which did not trigger your global cooldown... great for quick offensive uses (plus you had a point to spend elsewhere).... I miss those trees

My own personal opinion is that it should be removed as a talent and made baseline again. There is just no way to make it more attractive as a talent without either making it overpowered or nerfing Shadowfury & Mortal Coil - as long as it shares a talent line with those two it's just not going to see much use.

As to its replacement, I think some form of roots or an AOE knocback would be a good choice.

A silence... dear god please give us a silence other than spell lock (or carrion swarm if demo).

HoT probably the best cc we have for arena. Reduced cd by 1 sec for each hit is OP and so is the fact that you can full fear multiple targets at the same time instantly.

If I did PvP I might, but never find a good use for it in raids.

I think the only fight I've used it for was Lei Shi.

Howl of Terror is kinda good, then it shares DR with your normal fear and it becomes kinda unattractive. :\

How is it unattractive to use?

Shadowfury shars dr with felguard stuns.

Mortal coil shares dr ith blood horror.

Howl of fear is instant you dont have to target anyone to use it.

and for pve the 15% selfheal talent is kinda the best defense
so nah i pretty mutch never use howl .. shadowfury->howl->fear-> deathocil .. was such a cool combo ^^

2x felguard stuns and 1 shadowfury

Pre-Mop sure did.. fantastic for solo pve and for pvp..

They put it up against and instant AOE ranged stun... that stun does not share DR with our main CC.. Shadowfury all the way.

True, but i feel like you missed my point.. Obviously it shares a DR with other stuns. a warlocks MAIN form of CC would be fear. sooo... doesn't share the same DR.

I tend to run PMW so the possibility of hitting all 3 opponents with a stun then being able to follow with a full fear (situational i understand) is worth it for me.
