    Paladin UI Thread

Hey fellow Paladins! i noticed other class forums have this, so why not us!

Post your Paladin UI here so it can be seen by other paladins.

Here's mine, it's a somewhat copy of Choices UI, with a few changes ( Such as Weakauras ).

    With weakauras out

The auras in his screenshot are a preview, they're not up at all times.

Blizzard interface is BEYOND terrible, especially as ret. Holy power in top left corner, character in middle, buffs/procs in top right corner always shifting around. Absolutely terrible design and nearly impossible to keep track of well to min max everything in that format.

While true, it''s REALLY annoying to try and tank with the stock UI, and anyways, weakauras is my all-time favorite addon. so i couldn't go without that.
In the end, it's all personal preff, but keep in mind, addons like weakauras, SuF, bartender allow you so much customization that it's worth losing a few frames on lower end PC's.

I never really understood why people keep their buttons way off on the edge of the screen. They are the core of everything you do, the important ones should be pretty much the first thing you see aside from your characters position and what's going on in the center of the screen. I have mine hidden unless I have a hostile target, I'm in combat or I hold down alt.

pally is not my main...if you were wondering about the quests...

Also, the reverse is valid: I cannot understand why do you need a bunch of buttons in the freaking middle of the screen? I, personally, like mine on the edges, to have the most of the screen available for the shitton of adds and crap on the floor raids bestow on us nowadays.. Keybinds R us.

Do you enjoy doing sub optimal dps? It has nothing to do with keybinds, it has everything to do with seeing what ability to press next, which can change at any second.

When your buttons are off at the side, you are constantly glancing at them, way far away from the action. When they're right under "you", you can pretty much see them without needing to shift your attention from what you're doing.

All my keys are bound, if you're suggesting I'm a clicker. How does having them bound to keys let you know what ability to press next in the most efficient way possible? You need to SEE your abilities to see if they're available at any given moment.

But do you need all of your buttons in the middle ?
I favor having a few on them, but not too many.

There are a few more buttons in the middle then are necessary because I'm using a layout from another class that has a more involved rotation.

When you factor in your core 4-5 abilities, things that are woven into that on a regular basis and your dps cooldowns, it all seems kinda necessary.

Not for pally so much...it's a relatively simple class.

Updated my UI to something a little more.......... clean.

With everything out, weakauras, raid frames, boss frames, bigwigs, and the bottom right action bar that i use for misc shit ( it's on mouseover )

Just the UI, updated with no keybind text

Things to do: Need to make the minimap smaller, might change around some weakauras aswell.

This is the UI I play with, as Des said there are a lot of similarities between this and his original UI.

    http://raidbots.com/epeenbot/us/frostmourne/choice/#

This is my epeenbot page. By your definition, I should be doing terribly because my UI shares the same 'faults' as what you've suggested.

UI's are a personal decision. There are terrible UI's for sure, but at the end of the day as long as all the information necessary is visible (that means not only your keys, but your surroundings, timers, raid frames and so on) it cannot be criticized based on personal taste alone.

There are UI's here I'd simply refused to play with, but that doesn't mean they aren't functional to it's user. That's just blatant ignorance.
Amen - perception.. is.. everything...... In and out of game. It's one of those fun things that sparks invention and debates.. I think nearly every UI I see is completely hideous and terribly made but to criticize how someone else has something placed on THEIR perception would be foolish.. Hehe :] - Just to clarify for anyone else - PERCEPTION. IS. EVERYTHING.

Ohh no, just unlock ur icon screen screen and move it. For ur target icon is the same, just right click on the icon and see in the options for unlock.

For made the bars more small, just go to options and made them small, and with the bartender can move it or else.

Is a lot of frames more...
