Oi! Hey you! Will you check out my latest podcast episode that discusses Cryptozoology (Yeti's / Bigfoot / the New Jersey Devil)!"
its could be empowerment not corruption. for instance maby we get him down to 10% and then he shouts/roars and then all of us get stunned for a lil bit while wait and listen to him give a speach and then he runs off to sum device and get empowered. for all we no this could be sum thing he sticks his hand/body/ weapon in and it empowers him and then the next phase of the fight begins where he is corrupted with a bunch of new mechanics like shadows etc. i think it could make for an interesting fight
Also, kudos to all people explaining the concept in a much more coherent manner. x)
From what we can gather (though we won't know 100%) Garrosh is not corrupted by Y'shaarj. He takes the power, of his own accord, from the Heart of Y'shaarj. There is a very distinct if subtle difference here.
"Corruption" in wow tends to mean being influenced or changed by outside forces. Garrosh so far as we know is not 'corrupted' in the sense that Y'shaarj takes over his actions, or influences his mind. The little evidence we do have points instead towards Garrosh TAKING the power of his own will to use against us when he's backed into a corner. This 'corruption' is nothing but a last minute power boost to tie the story of Pandaria into the Org raid and give a reason why a mere (if very powerful) orc can stand up as the last boss of an expansion after Kel'thuzzad, Kil'jaeden, Lich King and Deathwing. His motivations are still his own. His actions are still of his own free will. There's no evil force whispering into his ear. No maddening influence driving him to extremes unless you count the two armies tearing through his fortress for his head.
Look closely at the spell icon, it's got the same exact curve as Gorehowl, that fool done ruined the damn axe of legend.

I like it. Yay opinions. No one cares if you're sick of Blizzard. Just go away and get over it.
Old gods were mysterious at the beginning, but you can't keep them that way forever as we gradually encounter more of them and learn more about them.
garrosh and deathwing are completely different........ what an example
Same Shit Different Day
I don't think he is corrupt. I think he actually is in full control of his sha powers. Too proud/enraged to see what he is doing perhaps and too into the pure horde but i think he sees himself as infused with a weapon if anything
Wonder if the people complaining here would bitch about resident evil about being about a zombie virus, or Mario always saving the princess.
Get over it people, Old Gods and Corruption are the main story points for wow.
"Terror, darkness, power? The Forsaken crave not these things; the Forsaken ARE these things."
I tend to find that the majority of people who complain about changes in the story are saying its bad writting but the truth of the matter is they would hate it no matter what happened because they are the kind of people who do not deal well with changes of any nature.
Would you rather fight "Panda Suit Garrosh" instead? Or maybe "Master of Mammoths Garrosh" would be more surprising. How does "Bloated from eating too many Darkmoon Faire corndogs Garrosh" sound?
OP, this is a silly thing to get upset about.
