Does anyone else apart from me think that blizzard really didn't think battle pets through, or that it needs a revamp?
I'm doing pet battles at the moment and PvP battles are full of pets which get extra turns when they die, IE Mechanical pets and Undead.
As well as that annoyance, it seems that if youre slower than the enemy, they can get 3-4 abilities off on you before you even hit them, this is seen most commonly with the Thundering Pandaren elemental spirit.
As well as that, the "Beasts of Fable" is pretty screwed at the minute, some of the pets have heals which pre 5.2, used to heal for 300-600, with 5.2 or 3, all of the beasts of fable had their health reduced by 50%, but to counter that, had their damage taken reduced by 50%, but not the healing, so what you end up with, is fighting a Beast of Fable which has say, 2k hp and 50% damage reduction, you get them down to half health ( 1k) which pre patch was 2000 damage, but the heals the Beasts of fable do still heal the same, so you end up with a pet at 1k/2k hp, and use a heal which puts them back up to full hp, meaning you waste 10 turns or so for them to outheal you every 3.
Another thing i've noticed is that all of the fights seem gimmicky, in that you have to use certain combinations to beat other enemies, you have 500 different types of pet or whatever, and you're forced into using a certain combo to beat them.
And finally, Stable masters.
Now when you get beat in pet battles, your pets die, and the only way to heal them back up is either through talking to the stable master and paying money to get them revived, or by using the 10 minute cd Heal, but if youre like me and battle quite often with the hardest of mobs, your pets will die and you spend 10 minutes flying across the zone to a stable master, just to do it again when you die, and there seems to be only 1 stable master per zone, for example, I just attacked Dos-Rygn the Beast of fable, he beat me due to his heal and I then had to fly to 5 different quest areas before I found a stable master, which meant my heal was off cooldown by the time I got there.
Does anyone else agree with what i've said, or is it just the crackpot lunacy of an angry pet battler?
