    Which Alchemy specialisation?

So I've been wondering which Alchemy specialisation is worth picking up?

Just to give a brief background of where I am coming from. I am currently on a RP realm - with not a very active raiding scene. There are some guilds pushing far in ToT, but its a RP realm first.

In previous expansions I've always gone with Transmutation, since it was pretty easy converting uncommon gems into rare and epic gems.

However, this expansion you actually need a Golden Lotus + an uncommon gem. Now they are pretty hard to actually farm for. And they sell for around 50-70G. So you only basically have to look forward towards your Living Steel CD. And its foolish using your Golden Lotus to transmute gems when flasks sell for way more than the Rare Gem.

Now for Elixir you also need a Golden Lotus and a few herbs. Often times Flasks can sell for less than the cost of the mats to make them.

Potions don't really need any Golden Lotus and only needs 1 of each herbs but they don't usually sell for much.

I was thinking about Elixir Mastery but after thinking about it am leaning towards Potion Master. I've never taken up Potions before and was wondering if I was right in my thinking?

Can someone elaborate or recommend a specialisation?

Transmute also affects Trillium, Riddle of Steel (no CD Living Steel) and Meta-gem transmutes.

Since you are not on a realm with much raiding, you won't be able to sell many flasks/potions (and Alchemy isn't exactly a rare profession either). Transmute would be the way to go.

Yeh i took transmute since when you get a living steel proc its a big bonus to gold.

I went all the way and got three alchemists (one of a kind), accompanied by JC with all the cuts and miner to smelt bars.
The gold I'm making with this setup is beyond ridiculous. A million gold profit in 6 weeks. 8500 gold per day on main in statistics page (and rising rapidly)
I am on huge population PVE realm so I can get big supply of mats and large buyer pool but still, all three specs bring profit.
And you decide how much gold you want to make, by buying (or farming but personally i dont have time for that) less or more materials.

About 80% of all this money comes from jewelcrafting (requires huge golden lotus and ore supply) and transmuting trillium but potions and flasks still contribute solid coin to that.
Not sure how it will turn out on RP realm without too many guilds. My 3/13 heroic guild is realm rank 33, meaning that there are at least 30 guilds better than me and helluva lot less progressed, finishing normals or starting heroics.

See that is the difference. Probably going to guess you on Stormrage.

Not only do you have 33 other guilds before you raiding weekly but you also have a lot of alts from those guilds as well raiding ToT. Then take into consideration the other 100+ guilds raiding weekly. So not only do you have an extremely high turnover of flasks, potions, gems and the sort, but you also have suppliers willing to undercut the competition for mats.

I don't have that advantage on my realm. Undercutting is frequent and with turnover so very low, I can't generate items faster than they sell.
