The graphic looks extremely realistic and good but I hope this time CDPR improves on th game control and gameplay. The previous witcher gamers have sluggish control and rather bland gameplay. The Witcher 2 was really short too even after playing it on 2 sides of the story.

I hope they add some sort of crosshair or dot so you'd know the exact spot you're targetting. Too much camera wankery in Witcher 2 due to lack of it.

I'm not one to hype a game up. I learned my lessons from Diablo 3 and Skyrim. I still remember how insane I was waiting for Skyrim. Videos, drooling, dreaming, crying, nervous cold sweats...But I can almost guarantee that this game is going to be phenomenal. I would put it as an easy contender for GotY in 2014 and we haven't even seen it yet. Based solely on CD Projekt Red and how dedicated they are to their games and how amazing Witcher 2 was (Witcher 1 was fantastic also), I am incredibly anxious for this game.

The Witcher 1 was better than the witcher 2.

Maybe in terms of story, but in terms of gameplay and everything else...Witcher 2 is bettter by miles

Which isn't that big of an achievement. Both have pretty bland gameplay and quite sluggish control. The Witcher 1 was longer and had better atromosphere. There were much more hunting quests in TW1 than TW2 too which makes the game much more immersive because it was closer to the books than TW1. I even think combat in TW1 was more fun too. Shifting between 3 stances is more fun than "quen quen roll roll quen" that solves every fight.

    Agree.

W1 beat W2 in every respect baring graphics.

If they can get back to W1 and update the graphics which it looks like they have, they will have a winner

I agree. TW1 was too buggy for me to continue it however after playing it for hours on end. TW2 played well and was never buggy, but I hated the combat in it. Waay too simplistic. I learned my lesson with those two games. Not wasting any more money on anything from CD project Red.

The randomness and slow combat in TW1 made me sick, but i played it for the story. TW2 on the other hand was a little bit faster which made for me. Ofc when u played on easy, quen quen roll quen was a good tactic

Well this sure proves my belief that to maximize the game's graphics you will need extreme of extreme PCs lol.

Just like Witcher 2. The game is still hard to play on max settings. Heck, so is the original Crysis!

I'm glad they are setting the bar high again. Forces innovation and progress.

Bollocks, the alchemy system of Witcher 1 was far above and beyond of Witcher 2.

I beated it on dark and quen&roll is still the best and most popular tactic by far. Just search for random dark mode arena video on youtube.

I just wet my pants. Thanks OP.
The Witcher series is my favourite game series of all time. Seriously, I have poured so many hours on these games.

Now try Dark with the full combat rebalance mod

Also, slightly off topic but: Since the Witcher saga is coming to an end with W3, imagine if CDPR got their hands on a Asoiaf license /drool

it is kinda an (Un)official mod, it is done by one of their designer but it is not "officially" provided by CDPR (If I remember correctly)

Is it... is it out... is it FUCKING OUT YET?
All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side

I recommend reading The Witcher's books (its pre game events). Geralt story is amazing. Dark, complicated and with such great, unique (also dark) sense of humor.

So is this the official W3 thread, or only the trailer?
