    Warcraft film update (Very minor)

    Found on comingsoon.net;

"Warcraft was teased, albeit briefly, with a simple title treatment. To be directed by Duncan Jones (Moon), the film is based on the game series. Tull said they are taking their time with this one and placing a "very high bar" on it, "because, frankly, video game movies have not fared very well." They want a great script and are taking the property very seriously. Expect more updates over the next few months."

In before "It's going to be bad"

I believe they are taking it seriously. People think if it's quiet it's not happening.
Blizzard do not destroy Jaina Proudmoore's character. Make her who she once was, not full of rage and vengeance.,If you are curious about me or about my writing aspirations, feel free to pst me. Paladin-Sorcerer at your service! http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...htsongg/simple

Legendary is a great studio also. Good Choice.

I can see them taking a long time with this to get it right, Blizzard would not allow any company to sully the WoW franchise with a bad movie, but I can wait ^^

This movie will not end well.
"I can't see it anymore... I am 907, after a while you just can't see it. I look at a star and it's just a big ball of burning gas. I know how it began and how it ends and I was probably there both times. After a while everything is just stuff. That's the problem, you make all of time and space your backyard and what do you end up with - a backyard! But you, you can see it and when you see it, I see it." -D. Who

It will end well. We have nothing to go on. You can't judge without any footage or information. I mean, I could understand if we saw something but we haven't.

Going on past movies based off video games and most did not end well imo.

Low expectations. I guess I'm giving them the opportunity to surprise me.
If you are particularly bold, you could use a Shiny Ditto. Do keep in mind though, this will infuriate your opponents due to Ditto's beauty. Please do not use Shiny Ditto. You have been warned.

I think so too. Their movies always look very slick.

The funny part is, video game writing as improved dramatically over the last few years. Lots of those games / adaptation didn't have much of a premise to begin with... and some were given to Uwe Boll.

What they should... is hire Josh Weadon.

I think Joss Whedon is booked up for the next few years.

My expectations are low but i'm hoping for the best - I'm glad they're taking their time with planning it out however.

Without Uwe Boll's guiding hand this film is dead before it starts.

They need to do a good job with it. It could be LotR awesome if they do it right. If they make it another cgi action flick without substance it'll be a big dumb flop. If the movie is a smashing success and gets more people interested in the story overall, those writers should be brought in for the in-game lore.

A part of me would love to see Uwe Bolls version.. just for comedy value. I know he expressed an interest years ago.

Aside from the Lich King storyline, which still had its cheesy moments, I have yet to see story in-game that would grip my attention.

Add the fact that this project is blockbustery and the kind of blockbustery writers that attracts...and this seems doomed.

Surprise me. Go on. Make a compelling movie. But I'm not seeing it until the reviews are dripping with positives.
