Won't listen to him on principle. Not sure how a person can have that big of an ego and date that abomination at the same time.

To be honest, I really didn't like it. Some of the songs just made no sense, he had a guitar solo in one of his songs which just confused the fuck out of me. Kanye is a great producer and rapper but this wasn't his best.

Just out of curiosity – what's the story behind this trend in rap of ending lyrics with the same word? It's not legitimate rhyme, but are artists attempting to pass it off as a rhyme scheme or is there some other origin behind it? Taken at face value, it seems less than clever to end half of your lines in one verse with the same word.

You mean like Kodak being "rhymed" with Kodak?

Yeezus is a very quality produced album. Kanye is trying something new with it, and I personally enjoyed it. Also doesn't hurt that Daft Punk produced three of the tracks.

From that little snippet, I can deduce that future generations will regard Kanye West in the same vein as Chaucer and Shakespeare.

    Because he's a narcissistic egomaniac?

“You know, if Michael Jordan can scream at the refs, me as Kanye West, as the Michael Jordan of music, can go and say, ‘This is wrong.’”

I like older Kanye's stuff, mostly from college dropout to graduation, gave his new album a try and I don't really like it. And yes all artists change their style with time, but that new style doesn't always fits listeners. . Also noticed that one song in there is with that shithead hood "rapper" who threatened Lupe Fiasco some time ago,so that also adds why I don't like it.
And about hate on Kanye,it's nothing new he always was hated for his cockyness and arrogance.

Bold=non-rhymes, Underline=legitimate rhyme, Italic=near rhyme (or legitimate if he drops the "l" in "school")

Maybe this is a legitimate artistic form that I need to be further enlightened about – but it just looks/sounds like lazy and false poetics.

Big Kanye fan but the album sucks. I'm amazed its getting classic reviews on major sites and blogs, along with Pitchfork ranking it the 2nd highest rated album of all time..

He also doesnt even write his rhymes anymore. Lupe Fiasco, Cyhi the Prince, and Rhymefest have credits on half the songs... Hell, Big Sean wrote half of Beautiful Dark Fantasy as well..

Kanye's always been overhyped and nothing more than just average as far as talent goes, but he makes music ready for mass consumption. He's good at what he does, but he doesn't surpass what's expected of him.

Are you not aware that that's from a Jamaican song? Because it is, in case you couldn't tell...
