Personally never wanted to visit there. Here in Las Vegas we have our own pyramid, the LuXor hotel and casino and its a lot more comfortable than those in egypt.

my mother just came back from a holiday in Egypt, she said it was very nice, but a bit worrying with the armed guards all over. she didn't go to cairo though, some gated tourist community, but still a lot of armed guards, not really what i would want to be seeing when im on holiday, i'd just go somewhere safer.

I decided it wasn't safe to visit there the moment their Arab Spring started. Hopefully things get better there someday and I can see the Pyramids. I have an Egyptian coworker two offices down from me, and she is incredibly pissed at the Muslim Brotherhood for ruining her country (she's Muslim herself).
