Recommendations for Cleaner Boss Frames

Hello Addon Supremos, Masters of the Interface and Mistresses of lua thingies,

Currently I use SexyMap and I am pretty sick of it distorting my boss frames. I am also rather irritated at how cumbersome and elaborate these boss frames are to begin with. As I am thinking of switching away from SexyMap I would also like some sort of simple, minimalistic boss frames (for encounters such as Lei Shen or Council) to play around with and attempt a better solution.

Any suggestions?

IMO, your best bet is to get a unit frames addon (I'd recommend STUF or Shadowed Unit Frames), which will allow you to redesign all your unit frames (player, target, target of target, focus, etc) including boss frames.
