Devs also told us he wasn't corrupted, give it a rest.

The scourge has arrived?
EU ~ Outland
I don't think Jaina and LT actually die. I think those sound files are if you fail the boss.

I'd rather see Thrall die than Nazgrim. Thrall had his time but Nazgrim had possibilities.
So, Garrosh's audio about Thrall is interesting. It sounds as if he manages to defeat him in combat by shutting off the elements. However, this doesn't mean Thrall is going to die. The worst punishment to an Orc is exile, and to be powerless. Garrosh may let Thrall live and watch him carve out the future for his Horde, all the while Thrall can't do anything to stop him. Or, Garrosh may have learned from history class and might just kill Thrall so he doesn't do what Gul'Dan did with Durotan.
Also, Garrosh is NOT corrupt. Those few mentions of and Old God he makes are almost assuredly from Phase 3, when it shouldn't come as a surprise that he feels SOME of there influence, seeing his model and what not. He was still the asshole who made them a weapon.
Varian and Vol'Jin are most likely left out because they are going to play key roles later in the raid. Varian will 100% not die. The mass amount of complaints from the Alliance will be unmatched.
I'm interested to see what role Anduin will have. Garrosh thinks Anduin is dead, and Anduin is actively participating with the Celestials. They have something big planned for him this patch.
5.4 is going be awesome
Otherwise a single of my characters would be the greatest mass murderer Azeroth has ever known, not to mention the other several million other 90s.
He's bat-shit crazy... And so was Deathwing.
He's hearing dark whisperings from an old god... And so was Deathwing.
He goes all tentacle-crazy... And so did Deathwing.
So yeah, when they put an Old God in this raid, they made the raid not about Garrosh anymore. Supreme disappointment. Sad, Blizzard.
I'll definitely be interested to see what Thrall's side of his conversation is with Garrosh. I'd almost say that it might not be part of the raid at all, and instead players will witness in a quest event, possibly through the dream brew rather then directly.
Anyways, if Thrall intends to pass on the position of Warchief, this conversation is probably the first time we'll learn of it. I could see Thrall actually conceding that he wasn't the best Warchief, but that there is a truer Warchief then either of them, and his name is Vol'jin (or whoever the next Warchief will be, but I if not Thrall then it will probably be Vol'jin).
Remember the lessons of the past, but do not become lost in nostalgia. Seize the moment whenever possible, but not when it could do you great harm down the road. And look to the future as far as you can, but do not become complacent waiting for a brighter future to come to you. For the past, present, and future all have their place in the human psyche, and to see one as superior to the others is the most grievous error a person can make in life.
Garrosh is acting of his own volition, and of his own free will decides to take the power of an old god and corrupt himself for more power. So yeah he gets corrupted but it's on his terms, and it's not been the driving force behind his actions for the entire expansion, he only becomes corrupted for the SoO Raid fight.
Corruption is such a loose term, even when Blizzard mentions it.
Is Garrosh corrupted at the end? Yeah, physically he looks it.
The word we are looking for is controlled or heavily influenced into such actions. Nothing that he has done seems to dictate he had external forces molding him to their will. His goals since the start of this expansion are perfectly inline with his ultimate goal well before he even knew who the Sha were or got a hold of the heart. He's looking for complete and utter conquest. It just happens to be perfectly inline with what the old gods want as well.
Deathwing is different. He was molded and driven to what he ultimately became.
No conflict, no story, been true since the dawn of time, always will be. Jaina has been retuned FOR conflict this whole expansion, not so Blizz can randomly kill her off, but to generate more story further down the road.
Jaina will probably be raid boss in 7.4 or 8.3 or something like that, when she's gone all Arthas.
I could see Varian dying though, there isn't much anywhere that character can go.
