Rumors on elite gear

So...a friend of mine told me that blizzard are planning to make the elite gear ITLVL 512, and raise the rbg/arena ITLVL cap at 512.

Someone can confirm or denying this rumors?

Q: “The new pvp gear is 522, but whats the point if it will get scaled down to 496?”
Holinka: “The ceiling will slowly go up next season (e.g. 1 point per week) but PvP gear will be exempt from the ceiling.”

@spellweaver (thx for the reply), maybe is it, but in that case i think they're talking about a new set and not the elite gear, or im wrong?

Pretty sure the elite gear is staying as it is (a cosmetic change with the same ilevel), and Holinka is talking about next seasons conquest gear. Elite gear for that season will also be purely cosmetic.
