I never understood how people that play a game for 8-10 years can complain about it. Let me tell you why. People like him are burnt out of the game. If you eat ice cream everyday for 8-10 years you would complain about ice cream and also say it tasted better back then. I would love to see a positive video from people like him. After all if it wasn't for WoW, he wouldn't even have a Youtube channel. But all I see are QQ videos.

Although I find crendor's videos entertaining (I'm subbed to his channel), his points on this video are really outdated and selective. Sounds like all he did was play in 5.0, saw the dailies, stopped, didn't bother with any of the new features, and focused on making his alt leveling series.

Could have at least voiced his opinion on pet battles, brawler's guild, the isle of thunder progression (yes it was dailies but at least it had the illusion of a server wide event), scenarios, etc.

people can complain about it because they have a huge time-investment in their characters. They like the in-game trophies they have to show off, and it's disappointing when the game starts to go in a direction they don't care for.

People complain after 8 years not because they hate the game and want it to end, but because they want to continue to like the game. for the most part, complaints are just criticism. some complaints are more constructive than others, but the bottom line is, people that complain about WoW care about what happens. Most complainers don't want to see wow fail. They're trying to voice their opinion on why it's gotten worse, and by extension, what should change to make things better.

The truth is, I can't see how someone that plays a game for 8-10 years CAN'T complain about it- or at least some aspects of it.

everything he says in the video is true. wow has become this anti-social, dumbed down game consisting of daily quests and mini games. not worth playing anymore!

These "listen to me, I got something to say" YouTube crap videos suck.

I used to be subbed to WoWcrendor, but truthfully he's become stale and repetitive and I think this video is only going to hinder his popularity.

His name is literally WoWCrendor. Why would someone, who bought fame of the back of WoW, create a video that slags of WoW? It only isolates his audience and like someone said, all videos to do with WoW now I will honestly think 'meh, what does he know, he doesn't even play it'.

His opinions are out dated and jaded with rose tinted glasses, and even at the 'height' of his raiding career, he wasn't very successful. His videos to do with him actually playing are usually painful to watch (sorry, but for someone that's played since Vanilla, it's distressing to watch such dismal clicking and general bad playing). Usually this wouldn't be a problem, but if he wants to make a serious video that criticizes WoW raiding/end game content, then he should actually play the end game content. He hasn't, not since Wrath and even in Wrath it was debatable (he's never cleared Ulduar or ICC, the two main raids of that expansion).

Just a fail video; fails to explain his points, fails to engage and fails to represent the actual problems with WoW. He's become the very thing he takes the piss out of; a disgruntled WoW player with a self-entitled attitude that lacks any form of experience to base his opinions on.

    Edit:

And the really funny thing is he started bashing the lore and said it turned stale after Wrath, and literally said 'Who exactly was Deathwing?'. Deathwing had been cemented in lore for ages, as much time as the Lich King. Sure, I'll agree that Deathwing's representation was poor, but he doesn't even acknowledge that Deathwing had huge amounts of lore and as a villain was incredibly cemented in lore. He yet again fails to properly voice his opinion and instead comes across as ignorant.

watching his recent videos i'd say he should have a name change. ''WowQQ'' would be more accurate.

I had my true first break from the game before christmas, coupled with some RL issues i had to manage.

The biggest let down to me was to be honest the enormous quantity of things i could do, and in the feelings of "yay, new shinies" i just tried to do everything and more without having the time to play i had some time ago while i was playing TBC or WotLK. I ended buring up myself and D3 didn't help much.

After the break i returned, and i realized the things stated above; now i play doing only the things i like more - which are dailies/quests, raiding, leveling alts. And i'm having lots of fun.

MoP for me is a great expansion. It simply delivers - maybe too much people want to play like they played years ago but don't have anymore the time or will to do so. Hence MoP is automatically bad/boring.

The only thing wrong was the amount of content (especially factions/dailies) released at start. The amount was cool - just it wasn't a choice at all, simply because since you can do all of them, you will try to do all of them no matter what. Faster = better in our minds hence we tried to do all dailies/rep/everything as fast as possible.

If we could for example choose which faction to do dailies for any day, that would be better imho.

There is nothing there to capture your imagination like there used to be, the lore they create is not really known well by the community therefore losing a lot of immersion at the start.

Basically, immersion is the problem. LFG/LFR/Flying/Scenarios/etc. are all great and convenient, but there is no immersion in it, like it doesn't feel like your in another World, it just feels like your doing what the game commands you to do now.

These are just my opinions of course, but I am glad I quit.
Do not honestly understand this flymount hatered?
Why an earth would someone want to spend 30+mins to get to a quest-zone by groundmount?

The questing issue is something I do agree with Crendor, I just cant stand the current quest modeling, you get an escort quest -> Get 3 quests, kill something x amount, gather something x amount, find person x somewhere. Then you get second 3 (look at previous sentence). And third you get this big bad a¤& quest, go kill the bad guy.
After that you get a new escort quest to new hub, sorta boring, before the Cataclysm rewamp of old continent questing, you could enter a zone, find a hub, if you had enough lvl you were able to start doing them. Now you have to everything in the same... freaking... order, that is just painfull, when leveling alts.

In MoP-zones this emphasizes even more, since you just cant skip Jade Forrest, when lvl'ing the 5th+ alt its a pain in the ass tbh.

We don't give as much a shit about Deathwing and (?) in Pandaria.

I think that marketing is a lot more important than people make it out to be. If the next expansion will be something like Argus with Sargeras or maybe Kil'jaedan I see the numbers jumping back to 10 Mil if it's like Zandalari something it won't have as much an impact.

WoWCrendor is atm just bored, he has played way to much WoW in general, and now he blames blizzard for the stuff that he became bored of.

U dont understand the difference between Linearity and Exploring.

Linear does not necessarily mean u follow ONE path... it can also mean u have a choice of TEN paths. Thats still linear.

Crendors point is that there is no exploring in Wow now... and i agree with him. Before Quest-helper was installed into the game the entire experience of levelling involved running around and going wherever the hell u wanted, now the game itself shows u where to go and how to complete the quests. Before Questhelper nothing was Linear in any way.

People who cannot see this difference truly dont understand what Linear means in the world of gaming.

    pretty much disagree with everything.
wotlk was in my personal opinion the worst expac. lots of people thought the same back in the days, probably nowadays there are a lot more wrath babies.
wintergrasp was just a glorified battleground with a timer and on unbalanced realms was horrible.
the old talent system was a joke with no choice whatsoever, nowadays if you try things like challenge modes or the brawler's guild you actually experiment and choose the best talents for each fights, overall its a much better system.
about linearity, yes nowadays leveling is much more streamlined, but with every quest chain being fully explained on wowhead months before a patch is even live, are you sure that putting back those vanilla chains would restore that sense of adventure? no way in hell imo.

GOing back a few posts regarding names on youtube, who in the right fucking mind would make there name a reference to a computer game....yep thats right..only dumb cunts.
Also this guy has the worst mono voice going, annoying as fuck, also prob one reason why jessie cox doesnt seem to hit that 500k sub number, because he hangs around with wowturd guy.

I'm just really over the ranting everyone does. If you don't like a particular part of a game, don't do it. If there are too many things you don't like, just quit playing it. No one is holding a gun to your head making you play. There are so many ways in this game to progress and everytime someone doesn't like one of them, they rant about how it is the only way to progress and it's too grindy. Endgame is all about repetition. If you don't like doing dailies each day, running lfr each week, running in a guild raid each week, doing your farm each day, then you need to just start leveling a new toon as soon as you hit 90 or quit. Enough shoving your cries down our throats.

This was the most unintelligent, uninspired QQ video I've ever seen. While his tone isn't bashing or angry or anything, his points all add up to nostalgia and arbitrary opinions. Is this something we're supposed to care about?

I can sum up the whole video as: "I liked WotLK and WoW isn't like that, so it's bad and I don't like it. Amirite guyz?"

I have had my growing pains with this game. I have had my ups and downs. I've unsubbed, sworn it off, said how many things I don't like and come to the realization that the game is what it is. You take it for what it is worth. Idk...I could make an equally pointless video on how WoW is amazing because it's different. This is the reasons opinions exist.

I don't think he has a lot of great points to support his opinion, however.

I'm pretty sure there is a checkbox on the map to turn off quest objective markers. Turn it off. I don't think they could make it any more simple for people... /sigh

The entire re-design of questing went hand in hand with the Questhelper. Questing is much mroe linear overall whether u have Questhelper switched on or off. In the old days quests were scattered all over the place in no particular order, after the Questhelper redesign everything was moved around to ensure questing was linear.

This overall redesign has changed questing from an exercise of exploration to an exercise of following a linear path.
