What's your favorite HC scenario comp ?

Seeing more and more people in search of a healer for HC scenario intrigues me.
My usual comp is tank+2dps and I find it really efficient. I don't think that scenarios need healers even in heroic mode. And a tank to pack the adds is nice.

So that's my comp, what's your favorite ?

    Tank + 2 dps.

Healer feels like a nuisance, since most classes can work there with just selfheals.

Going with 3 dps is probably the worst case scenario though.

    Depends on the classes.

If it's 2 hybrid dps then 1 tank or 1 other hybrid.
If there's at least one pure dps in the group then a healer is necessary instead.

Honestly, I run them every day with a dpsx3 group (BM hunter with a growling ferocity pet, shadow priest, arcane mage) and I have run into problems exactly one time, and it was when both of the other DPS DCed. And then I soloed the boss we were on anyway, but it was the very first bonus timer we didn't get. (The captain at the end of the boat scenario.)

Warlock, Ret. Paladin, Shadow Priest. In and out in five minutes, no one dips below 75%. /shrug

Edit: Of course, if you take life threatening damage in a HC scenario, it's because you stand in giant glowing circles of don't-stand-in-this-you-retarded-child.

What about the unavoidable boss damage. Some of the bosses and mobs hit hard. 3 mages would have a tough time in there.

I like to bring 2 dps and 1 healer.

I find a hybrid DPS works well. Our shadow priest has enough passive group healing to keep us all alive. Maybe a disc priest or mistwalker would be a good healer, but I like the comfortable pace of 3 DPS runs.

On my death knight, being blood and all, it works out great with 2 dps and 1 tank. Self heals are fun.

On my mage I keep getting stuck in a position with 3 dps comps so I always respec into frost in order to not die

My favorite comp would be double dps with tank, but said tank has to be a blood dk just cause their overall sustain is better.

    disc priest and 2 dps

basically 2.5 - 3 dps but with bonus heals that come from damage

All DPS. As a Ret Pally I usually strap on Righteous Fury & keep adds on, I expect the other 2 DPS to self-heal & avoid stuff. Usually goes faster & I tend to take a moment to explain stuff so we don't wipe & make valor bonus timers.

Yeah, kinda biased because my main is a priest- spec'd holy/disc, so. I always run with 2 dps, and myself healing/dpsing as disc. I like it.

I like to run triple DPS personally, but that's more so because my warrior stupidly overgears the place and can tank anything.

It really depends on the comp. Without a plate DPS at least it gets a bit iffy I find.

A healer for the few damage the group take is usually too much, or you are staying in pools of death you shouldn't. Take an sham/ret/druid dps and you'll have far enough healing. Even lock stones may be enough.

And don't forget that the majority of the scenarios with unavoidable damage also has some healing mechanics (usually a jade-green pool).

    dps/dps/dps

Tanks are worthless; the only way to justify a tank is to have them pull huge amounts of groups at once, which isn't possible in most scenarios.

A healer that can do DPS can be "okay" if you've got shit dps in your group. Disc priests, mistweavers, and even holy paladins (I've seen hpaladins averaging 70k dps in scenarios) can be okay for carrying bad dpsers. Dunno about druids or shamans.

Tank with self heals and 2 dps. Healers are useless, especially the ones who don't help dps. They just make runs take longer.

I actually really like Tank (LOVE Brewmasters) / Dps / Dps. Dps doesnt really need to worry about poping defensives just for melee attacks and can go all out without haveing to hold back. Also, good tanks can pull multiple things and survive easily which also helps with the bonus. But for me the biggest factor is that dps can go all out and the overall flow seems smoother.

Though triple dps is fine too honestly, specially with pretty well geared people.

Warlock (myself) > ele shaman (for mastery and haste) > Windwalker (stats and crit) > proceed to cast many chaos boltz

Srz note, tanks and healers are a waste of time in scenario's it also trains people to avoid bad stuff if they dont get insta healed back to full hp.
