DPS meter?

I just recently got back into RIFT, and I also got one of my friends in. He seems to think he's doing terrible DPS, and I think he's doing fine, especially for someone new to MMOs. So I wanted to get a DPS meter to put him to the test! However, I've gone through several of them, and they either haven't been updated in almost 2 years, or don't function quite like I expect.

I'm currently using one simply called 'Rift Meter', but it has its limitations and the author doesn't sound like he wants to keep updating it. So, what meters are you guys using? We won't be doing any sort of raiding (at least not any time in the foreseeable future) so we don't need anything with lots of bells and whistles. I did like Recount in WoW, and would love to see one close to that. But I will settle for anything that actually WORKS and is continually updated!

Thanks for the info, I was also looking for something practical. I didn't know about this one and between RiftMeter and SimpleMeter I was pulling my hair :-). I will give it a go later on.

Use http://www.curse.com/addons/rift/rift-meter ... this one is best-in-slot.

Riftmeter seems to work just fine.
