Excellent news for all gay people! I am not gay but I do have a gay best friend and I support all gay rights. I am happy and so is my friend!

Wasn't DOMA also screwing over international same-sex marriages? The foreign, non-American partner wasn't recognized/protected and could still be deported?

Anywho, this is wonderful news! I'm so happy and it's good to feel the positive momentum regarding gay rights.

It screwed over all same-sex marriages.

I don't disagree with supreme court decisions, pretty much ever.
The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities.

How about now? Other than how bad some of the reactions from supporters are, what is your opinion on this issue?

Oh that's right, state and local governments want to extra cash from selling you marriage licenses.
You are horribly wrong. I linked the video before and I will link it again. Watch and learn something.

I'm not at all surprised you don't hold opinions of your own.

I didn't watch the video. But, it shouldn't take a video to see the distinction between marriage and a wedding. One is granted by a license issued by the government and the other is a religious ceremony.

He didn't say he agreed or disagreed. He skirted the issue, by referencing his usual behavior, without noting if this case is unusual.

    It comes down to rights.

You don't have to have a wedding or a honeymoon or even a ring. Just the civil ceremony for rights. That's all.

Can we please just give gay people the right to marry so we can move on to more important issues already. In any halfway decent run society this stuff would have been settled years ago.

The key word in there is "shouldn't".

Sorry on my ninja edit, he isn't saying if 'pretty much ever', includes this case.

I'd rather we just get to the point, where the gay label only matters when you are searching for porn.

Over the years I have collected many Fabulous toasters for the men and children I have converted into homosexuality. Today is a great day for all of them, because now the prospect of marriage is much greater. On to phase 2 my pretties.

This is pretty exciting news, all kidding aside.

Don't get me wrong - just because I don't want to get married doesn't mean that it doesn't make me furious that I couldn't get married even if I wanted to. I'm just saying that going to a country with already better rights which I don't intend to use and don't really change a thing in my life wont accomplish anything for me. I'd rather stay in a place with worse rights (which I don't plan to use) and try to improve them in that case.

See the only thing that could cause the USA to ignore the Abortion Vote Fraud in Texas was this...

If I had a problem with them overturning section 3 of DOMA I would have said so. I think it was obviously unconstitutional.

I don't have an issue with gays getting married and never have, but I do recognize some of the objections to it.
