    Can someone tell my why people are all saying how it's going to be a new BG or scaled up version of a old BG? They said that ARENA would be down for some changes to it, not to battlegrounds, why would arena be down to put in a new battleground?

    Who cares? WOW pvp fell off in cata and never came back in MOP.

    Trying to shove a BG requirement in PVE dailies is stupid. Debuffing a team that decides to play a turtle match is retarded. 5 rogues are fine, 5 holy paladins and "oh hell no."

    Trying to bring people back to pvp by pushing them there wont get the numbers back. Making pvp appealing again so people join because they wanted to seems to have been given up on.

    It'll never be what it was because it can never be happy with what it is. It's the girlfriend with 30 personalities who's boobs started to sag.

    Looks like this is it.

    This opens up the potential for Cross-realm Arena with friends and Region-wide Battlegroups. If these are what Blizzard has in store, it'll be a fantastic addition to Arena/PvP. If they are just abolishing Arena Teams without implementing x-realm arena or region-wide BGs, then it's a pretty underwhelming change.

    Looks like we still have to wait and see : (

    Maybe I remember it wrong, but when they announced virtual realms, didn't they say that they also count for Arenas? So you would actually get both, yes... you could do Arenas with everyone in your virtual realm without opening/joining a team. Awesome imo.

    EDIT: Yes that's what they said, so unless it changes this is exactly what you want. Though they are still talking about arena teams here :
    Virtual Realms are sets of realms that are fused together, and will behave exactly as if they were one cohesive realm. Players on the same Virtual Realm will be able to join guilds, access a single Auction House, join arena teams and raids, as well run dungeons or group up to complete quests.
