brand new build with 800$ budget

Since I'm going to be starting college soon (and I can finally afford a new pc after 6 years lol), I thought it would be a good time to finally replace my 6 year old PC. I already have set up a list of parts but honestly I'm unsure since I haven't built one in ages.

    Budget: 800$ Canadian Dollars
    Resolution: 1920x1080
Games / Settings Desired: I will be playing mostly FF14:ARR, Witcher Series, Mass Effect trilogy, Borderlands 2 and tons and tons of strategy games. I'd prefer high settings with 60 fps since I only game on my consoles atm and those are well...yeah.
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc): I'll be doing occasional video editing and Photoshop. I would also like to be able to multitask (browse the web or watch a video) while I play games or whatever else as I currently can't do that and it's frustrating.
    Country: Canada
Parts that can be reused: Only parts I can reuse atm are my HDDs and dvd drive since my PC is currently 6 years old rofl.
Do you need an OS? No.
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? No.

These are the pieces I'm thinking of using atm (sorry wont let me post all the links so I'll just write the names)

Motherboard: MSI B75A-G43 LGA 1155 Intel B75 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS - 91.99$

    CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 Ivy Bridge 3.2GHz (3.6GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2500 BX80637i53470 -199.99$

GPU: EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2662-KR GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card -229.99$

    RAM: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model PV38G160C9K -63.99$

PSU: CORSAIR CX600M 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply -79.99$ - I can probably go lower with this but I can't find anything.

Case: NZXT LEXA S LEXS - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - 89.99

    or

NZXT Source 220 CA-SO220-01 Black Steel / Aluminum-like finish ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - 49.99$ cant decide.

Total: 757$ (if my math is correct)

Anyways, those are the parts. Correct me if I screwed up on anything or if I could get something better for the same price. I really would like to stay below 800$ though I can spend upwards of 1k$ but I'd rather save a bit so I can buy a new computer chair. I'd prefer if you used sites like tigerdirect.ca or newegg.ca. Don't be afraid to tell me If I went overboard with something also . Thanks.

Much better GPU, better CPU and you can overclock it for some extra performance. Even if you're not super comfortable doing it you can always use their auto overclock and get ~4.2GHz probably. Definitely something I think you should be looking into considering the settings/performance you're looking for.

The total includes shipping. I wouldn't recommend it but if you needed cheaper you could leave out the aftermarket CPU heatsink and just use the stock. Overclocking would be limited but still possible (light overclocking), you can add one later on although it's more of a hassle.

This would be the build suggestion if all the shops are available, just so you know of the price difference for some components:

Lastly I recommend you consider getting an SSD at some point if you don't have one already. System will feel so much smoother/snappier, smoother gameplay in some situations, faster loading games/applications, reloading UI, coming back after a crash etc.

That's awesome, thanks. I was thinking of getting a 760 instead especially considering a small time computer store that I go to often was willing to sell it for around 260$, tax included. I will be getting an SSD but not right nooow as I still want to get that new chair (this one is seriously falling apart rofl). I was never thinking of overclocking but I'll def look into it especially since I'll be playing mostly MMOs and strategy games. The stores shouldn't be a problem also as I live in Toronto and I don't see why they wouldn't ship here.

Two questions though, would the stock fans be enough in that case? Or would it be wise to get more, especially if I overclock? And I know I excluded it but I might get a new monitor also when I get some more money in a few months. Do you have any suggestions? Pref 23 inches. I'll mostly be playing those above games with some occasional FPS action (I'll also be using the pc for movies if that is of any importance). I don't really have a budget for the monitor but something below 250$ would be prefered$

    Again, thanks.

The stock fan setup should be fine for the Source 220, you can always add something later if you feel you're lacking anything.

    Monitor:

    Asus PB238Q
    Asus MX239H
