Xuen is just Barrage, how does it not make sense? Yulon specifically states damaging /spells/, while we are classified as ranged /physical/.

I asked Ghostcrawler and he said he usually says they group hunters with melee, so I still think we will get the xuen proc.

They are probably going to make it work like Barrage for hunters then.

    That's not possible.

You can control Barrage and avoid pulling the whole room, you can't control a proc...

Might be around your target, that would make sense. Or it could work like mop beta black arrow.

    Yes, we know.
For my Boomkin alt it's been fixed completely for the entire duration of this expansion.

Also I don't see any reason the Xuen proc can't be adjusted to work just fine for Hunters. The Yu'lon one makes no sense for us.

For either one we seem like an afterthought which is a bummer.

Again, it can function similarly to Starfall which only targets mobs that are in combat now.

This would only be acceptable if Hunters counted as melee for boss mechanics as well (similar to Mistweaver Monks) since otherwise you'll get nasty things falling into the melee group all the time that normally should only target "ranged" party members.

Should be more worried about how the arguably strongest trinket in 5.4 will be given to hunters as last resort:

GG HF Blizzard, there i said it...The developers or whomever is responsible of hunters, have absolutely no idea how to fix this disgrace of a class.

Not sure why you keep linking that spell.... how do you know that spell is connected to that trinket?

Because this is what the trinket does for Marksman Hunters per example, namely nothing...Compared to say a Monk or a Rogue. Same, as if they dont fix the buff we get from the cloak. Which hopefuly they will. You can check what the CD reducing trinkets do for every class.

I honestly don't think those are final. The trinket says 6 and some have 7 and 8 (maybe more, I might've missed it).

But I would not be surprised. "Hey we already got rid of readiness for most of their abilities, lets make sure we dont do it for this trinket".

    1) No chance that goes live as is... Some classes/specs get more than 6 and some get less. They probably have almost nothing listed for hunters while they figure out how to make it apply to our Tier 4/5/6 talents.

    2) Still not 100% sure that is tied to the trinkets. It does seem more likely since every class/spec has it, but it could be something completely different and unrelated to the trinkets

If a class has 8 spells eligible for the trinket reset, I'd imagine 2 would be left off, and only 6 would be affected. It'd be a nutso game of RNG though.

    What?

Are you suggesting that when you equip the trinket, it randomly selects 6 of the eligible spell to reduce the cooldown of?

People would just equip/unequip until the got the ones they wanted.

If those trinkets go live, each spec will have 6 spells/talents affected and I assume it will be a mix of dps/survival abilities.
