How can we stand a chance against Garrosh?

I have been thinking, when we are fighting Garrosh at the end of the raid, how do us alone, being Alliance and Horde even together, stand chance against an Old God powered Garrosh? From what I have been reading, near the end of the encounter he absorbs all of Y'Shaarj's power(Correct me if I'm wrong), so how are we powerful enough to defeat him? It took an army of Titans to kill Y'Shaarj so how can just a small group of mortal soldiers kill it again? Is it just a fraction of his power?

The real "powerful" lore characters that will be present will proubably claim the kill lorewise. The players are just the "heroes" clearing the way.
Pretend this is a amazing sig with my character holding an legendary.

He gets supercharged but he doesn't turn into a god, I see no reason we can't kill an orc powered up by an old god.

we don't face y'shaarj face to face, we fight garrosh empowered by the sha of pride. y'shaarj split into 7 negative emotions when the titans killed him. and we've killed all but pride. that's what garrosh is empowered with

Even the most powerful lore character we know does not have the power to defeat a fully functional Old God. The only reason why we even got near both Yogg'Saron and C'Thun is because they were at merely a fraction of their power, otherwise Azeroth would of already been destroyed.

    .....

    oooooh kay...

So.. we, thats us, the adventurers, have fought against:

    Two old gods
    The lord of undeath
The destroyer of worlds in his most corrupted state
The betrayer at his full power
An all mighty demon lord empowered by the sunwell
Countless dragons and demons and undead elites
    Against loa gods and goddesses

.... and you ask, how can we possibly defeat, a corrupt douchebag tyrant, who stole power from an old gods heart..

need I remind you, We Fought Against Two Old Gods.

Two old gods - C'thun is the only real one on this list we have the most responsibility for in stopping them. Yogg-Saron is defeated with the help of the Keepers.
The lord of undeath - We actually lose this fight until Tirion shatters Frostmourne and Terenas resurrects us
The destroyer of worlds in his most corrupted state - Helped by all 4 Aspects + Thrall
The betrayer at his full power - Maiev saves our asses. This is direct canon, Maiev's traps stop Illidan from pwning our faces.
An all mighty demon lord empowered by the sunwell - Kalecgos + Anveena sacrificing herself to help us win
Countless dragons and demons and undead elites - Regular dragons/demons/undead are not that powerful
Against loa gods and goddesses. - Not nearly as powerful as the rest on this list
    Fixed it for ya.

As I take it - We're very powerful heroes that are battling along powerful lore characters...

so, for example, we'd be fighting the adds, and the lore characters face Garrosh head on, while we help on the sides.... that's how I always see it...
not claiming that's how it is, just giving my opinion.

I'm still not convinced that Garrosh is a serious threat.

we killed both old gods with out help yogg-0 and a titan construct thats job was to just out right destroy the planet.

we over came the taint of all the sha even pride by the time we face Garrosh.

in wow lore our (10man/25man) is the best team of fighter ever in the world we as players are bad asses with ground shaking power.

If someone makes a thread assuming that we're be killing Garrosh, and that somehow it won't involve actual lore characters to make the kill Canon in lore, then its obvious they don't get how these things work.

These kills, since the lich king, have to follow a canon lore. our characters are nothing more then 'that army' or 'those random adventurers', we need lore characters to make these kills feel like there genuine, since.. us killing them alone is just boring as hell storywise.

...then that totally undermines your original point of "Look how powerful we are, we killed all these things!"

    Because we didnt.

It's possible lore characters will show up, but so far the dungeon journal isn't showing anything in the form of buffs or aid.

Maybe they just sit in a block of ice or hearth out at the start only to steal the kill at the last second.

For lich king, Tirion didn't 'steal' the kill. The Lich King beat us, effortlessly, and then HE SAVED US.

At any point, it's possible more will be added in but we don't see anything indicating npc support for us in the dungeon journal. If you look at heroic rag and dragon soul and even twin consorts the dungeon journal has notes for the npc help. Nothing yet for SoO so unless more is added in later I'm assuming the racial leaders sill show up in the cinematic instead.

Let's see.... Ragnaros twice, cthuun, watchers, Anub, Kael'thas, K.J, Illidan, Yog, Cho, Deathwing.... but Garrosh, Garrosh is where everything changes.
It's like crossing an intersection. There's shit going on all over the place and you don't panic and act like an idiot then do you?

As I've said, it's possible the journal is incomplete, but considering they're already doing raid testing I would guess that the plans for the encounters are already ironed out even if they're not all being tested yet.
