    [Resto]Gear Question

    Here is my shaman:
    http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...Akool/advanced

    I raid 10 mans

Any tips are always appreciated, But im here to ask you if my Thunderforged legs are better than 522 Tier legs which would give me a 4 piece

    http://www.wowhead.com/item=96035
    vs
    http://www.wowhead.com/item=95313

Also do any 10m Shamans have an opinion on the 7116 breakpoint?

well, first of all, you should log out in resto gear/spec if u want advices on that!

about the 7k ish haste breakpoint, search the forum for it, alot of information about that... personally: i NEVER EVER go back to a lower haste point...(well if things stay as they are, that is xD) since i got the 7k ish breakpoint i got ranked #5 and #7 and stuff (EU), awesome! xD

I personally would go for the 4 piece set bonus, as it gives us a very nice boost to our spread healing. I also prefer the 7613 haste breakpoint not only for the extra tick of healing rain, but the faster casting, feels nicer. Because I raid with a disco priest I don't care much for my mastery and his absorbs will always come first. Also the tf legs have no spirit.

    I also raid 10 mans

yeh... specially if u want to go for the 7k haste breakpoint i would go for the 4set since it kind of "devalues" crit and i GUESS u have to "sacrifice" some crit for haste

#1: Since you're not doing heroics, I wouldn't worry all too much about the higher haste breakpoints. It's a nice addition, but chances are you won't be able to reach it without sacrificing the benefits of both crit and mastery in 10-man.
However, when you're certain that you'll be able to reach the 7k breakpoint, whilst retaining a relative amount of mastery (~50%) and crit (>18%), I'd say go for it.

#2: Try to get your legendary meta gem A.S.A.P.

#3: I'm pretty sure that at your iLvl – especially with the Shado-Pan trinket upgraded to 2/2 – you won't be suffering all too many mana issues. Ergo, don't socket for +320 spirit; go for something else instead, e.g. +160sp/+160crit.

That's about all I can think of ATM.

The value of four piece in 10 mans is huge, the few extra stats from the terribly itemized pants isn't going to benefit you as much as the 4 piece. The 7k breakpoint isn't nearly as valuable in 10 mans as it is 25's, I don't bother with it because of how situational Healing Rain is in 10 mans, with your item level I really wouldn't recommend it. Nothing magical happens at 50% mastery so ignore anyone who advises that, it's a garbage stat, period. Stacking crit is very effective for 10 mans, it boosts Ancestral Awakening, mana gains via Resurgence, and overall throughput. After trying haste and int builds I finally tried a crit build and am much happier with how crit performs. I aim for 11k spirit, 3764 haste, and as much crit as I can get.

I've been a fan of a crit build since 5.0 (bear in mind this is raiding 10 mans only, mostly normals). I think it's taken a while for people to get over how great mastery was in Cataclysm. I wouldn't call it a "garbage" stat, it's just that right now, encounters are generally periods of low raid damage followed by big bursts, which are taken care of by cooldowns. That combined with absorbs and smart-heals means our mastery actually sees very little use, at least in normal modes.

The other bonus is that by pushing your mana regen towards Resurgence from crit instead of spirit, if you're ever 2-healing instead of 3-healing you won't end up in Elemental spec with 24% hit

We are starting heroics this week. 18% crit unbuffed or buffed?
Im at 16/20 Secrets so the legendary is a week off =(

I am not impressed by the 4set, if anything, the 2set is more important for 10m.

Like others have said, the 4-peice is worth more in 10-mans than the small stat gains from 6-ilvl higher pants. Not a mind-blowing amount of healing, but extra AA procs are smart heals aimed at the most injured player in range. A great boost for starting heroics

Yeah, the 6 ilvl gain in stats aren't worth not getting the 4p for. and legs aren't the the worst tier peice either so get 4p

I'd say anything above 15% unbuffed should be fine, but >18% is preferred. I have nearly 24% crit unbuffed, whilst still retaining 54% mastery and the softcap of haste, although I may consider actually going for the 7k one, since I can pretty much afford it easily.

Your playstyle is also a major factor in how you should weigh your stats though; don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
