Under the Sky So Red (Open War RP)

The Dust of the Barrens was harsh, the wind was worse than usual today. The Kor'kron were still pushing to get the daily tasks of gather supplies, but were extremely set back by the current conditions. With Vol'jin gearing up forces on both sides and the Kor'kron assuming an extremely aggressive stance in Orgrimmar, the world is a chaotic place. Although the two sides have a common goal, that does not stop most from seeking honor and glory on the blood stained sands of the Barrens...

    -----------

Very Vague I know, but this is more of an open war RP as stated in the title. I want to encourage everyone to jump in (experienced or not) and use this as a place to practice combat, try out a character, and whatever else under the rp spectrum you can think of! We need both Horde and Alliance so don't be shy. If you have a character bio, great! If not just use a quick bio template and lets get this show on the road.

Also if anyone has any side plots they want to develop over the course of this, please do!

    -----------
    Quick Bio
    Name-Matten Belmont
    Age:27
    Class-Warrior
    Race-Human
Personality- Calm and Friendly, yet stern in the face of battle. Tries to make the best out of every situation and often times finds himself in a worse position than when he started. Somewhat of a veteran, taking part in various conflicts over the years(mainly the Northrend Campaign) . Stepping away from the standard of most warriors of late, he wields a polearm with finesse.

    ------------

The dirt pelleted Matten's vizor on his helm as he rode in the back of the supply caravan. It was a standard security job, but it still had to get done. With his armor covered hand he gripped long arm, his pole arm, and inspected it thoroughly.

"How you holding up back there?" the driver of the caravan shouted. Matten snapped out of the day dream he had slipped into and shouted " I am good! How much longer tell we arr-" Matten was cut short by the snarls of two, possibly three Kor'Kron war wolves. So much for an easy day...Matten grabbed the side of the cart and peaked his head over to see what he was up against. Three, just as he suspected. He motioned for the cart driver to slow down and once he got close enough to one of the wolves he made a jump for it, landing behind the Kor'kron rider, who needless to say was surprised. What ensued next wasn't textbook or graceful by any means but Matten delivered a headbutt to the back of the Rider's unprotected head, catching him off guard to say the least. Once he was dazed he threw him off his mount, cause him to roll head over heals upon impact with ground.

Now he was perched on top a very angry and snarling wolf, flanked by two shocked Kor'Kron soldiers. By this point the cart had broken away from the melee and was well on its way to safety, now Matten just had to attend to these two. Before he could plan any further ahead, there was a crossbow pointed in his direction. Well damn... He thought to himself as the bolt sailed towards him, luckily it only hit his "borrowed" mount causing it to slide into a nearby rock formation. Matten jumped off the wolf seconds before impact and rose to one knee to find himself in a corner with two mounted Kor'kron, one with a gnarly two handed axe, the other reloading his crossbow. He grabbed Long Arm and charged into the fray.

Gimain stood from a distance and watched as a human was trying to protect the cart and managed to kill one of the attackers but now was in a corner two to one and he doesn't look so good. Better get in there and help him out, there must be something of great importance in that cart. Gimain slowly tried to sneak around the enemy but must be careful for the wolfs.

Gimain slowly moved from tree to tree trying to not attract any attention to himself. He had the crossbowmen in his sight He's the more dangerous one.
Gimain jumped up at the crossbowmen and struck him in the chest with his axe, killing him.

((Sorry just thought this is a good place to practice more RP hope u don't mind))

((No I encourage it, come battle it out!))

Matten watched as the axe sunk deep into the chest of one of his two opponents. A most pleasant turn of events, but WAIT an opening! He began to push the attack on the orc with the two handed axe, ducking under the first overhead swing of his enemy. He feinted with the business end of Long Arm only to come around with the blunt end of the weapon with a spinning attack. With the Orc dazed by the blow, Matten swiped his feet from under him. He followed through with the killing blow through the neck of Orc Warrior. There was a quick spew of blood and then it was over. He nodded to the dwarf that had come to his aid, yet he had a feeling that he was overlooking something-

"The Wolv-" He tried to say, however was cut off by the worg pouncing onto him. "BEHIND YOU!" Matten called out as he caught his wolf in a head lock trying to avoid the rapidly snapping jaw of his opponent.

Gimain watched in awe as the human took down the last orc, he made it look like he was only playing around with me.
Gimain nodded back at the human and started walking towards him When he shouted BEHIND YOU!, as Gimain turned around and saw the human grab the wolf in a head lock, Gimain went and slowly slit its throat. "Thank you friend that was a close one, but everything looks clear here, what was in the cart that u are protecting it?"

(( I will definitely improve on this and likely replace my old character concept for a rogue... a few might recognize Alexander James, my worgen rogue. I removed him and said I'd be fixing/re-creating him, and this seems like a good place to put in a temporary quick bio for her. ))

    ---------------------------------
    Quick-Bio
    Name: Kiryana Nightdawn
    Gender: Female
    Race: Blood Elf
    Age: 128
    Class: Rogue/assassin
Personality: Normally a cheerful addition to any group, Kiryana (or Kirye) is not only a ruthless, skilled assassin when needed, but a compassionate and caring person as well. She understands war and mercy, though she has seen very little of both throughout her lifetime. She has spent much of her time training and perfecting her techniques, and when not doing this she is out hunting. Her communicating skills are excellent, making her as good as working with a team as she does alone. She is energetic and always talkative, and is not too shy when it comes to meeting new people.
Appearance: Kirye is about 5' 6", with pale peach-coloured skin and dark blonde hair that goes just below her shoulders when not done up in her usual ponytail. She is normally wearing dark leather armor that covers most of her slim form as well as a mask that covers the lower-half of her face, though she will sometimes have it lowered. She wields two daggers (that slightly resemble the Heartseeker from in-game) and carries a couple of extra hidden daggers on her person. She also has a few throwing knives sheathed on her left inner thigh. She does not carry one, but she possesses the skill to use either a bow or crossbow efficiently.
Affiliation: Kirye is loyal to Silvermoon, and to Lor'themar Theron. Though she fights for the Horde she will follow her people wherever they go, without question or hesitation.
    -----------------------------------------------
She heard the noises way before she saw the cause of them.
She saw a wagon being led by humans, armed and armored. Strange, for Alliance foot soldiers to be traversing in Horde territory at this time... even more so with weapons. Can't say I really blame them, though. But why... She reached up with her slim fingers, covered in leather gloves that matched the rest of her attire, and pulled the bandanna up to cover her mouth and nose. Guess it's time to find out... wait, what? She tensed as the wagon and its guards were ambushed by Kor'kron soldiers. They retaliated ferociously, and she saw a dwarf come from out of nowhere to aid them. It was not long before the orcs were corpses lying in their own blood.
There was a swift debate in her mind as to whether she should engage them stealthily, or go toe-to-toe with these adversaries. She was still young, and the blood still ran hot within her, though she was slowly learning patience... slowly.
"Pagh. Got to have a little fun here and there, right?" she murmured to herself quietly, drawing her daggers and stepping out from the body of trees and brush she'd been crouched in. She approached them confidently, her stride tall yet alert. "Afternoon, friends," she said casually, blinking her bright emerald eyes and grinning beneath the bandanna in a... friendly... way.

Matten turned his head towards the Blood Elf, and gave her a quick glance...Daggers, bandana, and what is this? Throwing knives on her inner thigh, clever. Matten lowered the sharp end of long arm but still kept a firm grip. "I suppose being Sin'dorei you have no love for your mad Warchief?" Matten took a couple more steps toward her. "If that is the case then we may have the same agenda, or perhaps you are looking to tussle then I will gladly-" A korkron war horn sounded in the distant. Reinforcements to track the missing war party...

Kirye did not flinch as the human slowly began to approach her. He was saying something, but whatever it was she did not heed; instead her attention was captured... elsewhere...
Something's wrong, the voice inside her head told her... a warning was a more adequate description for it. Her hands suddenly tightened around the hilts of her daggers and she carefully tilted her head upward. Just as she did the human broke off mid-sentence as a Kor'kron warhorn blasted. She quickly glanced at the slain orcs, then back at the human.
"I guess we'll have to continue this later, hrm?" Kirye twirled her daggers in anticipation, readying herself for the upcoming skirmish.

Matten stared into Kirye's eyes then nodded "Well then lets do this!" Matten assumed a fighting position and like clockwork 12 korkron riders broke the crest of a nearby hill. "Press the assault don't get caught in the open, those dogs will tear us apart-" Matten flashed back to a similar position in Northrend; cornered, outnumbered, and tired his unit fought wave after wave of undead until they could barely see over the stack of rotting flesh. Matten came back to just in time to parry an axe blow from the first rider. A sharp CLANK! came off from the steel on steel contact, resulting in the rider falling off his worg. Matten pushed the attack on the fallen rider only to be blindsided by the worg. With a loud THUD Matten was on the ground and now the worg was trying to bite through his plated armor on his left arm.

To close for long arm- Matten thought frantically while two of the riders scooped up their comrade that had been dismounted. "Stupid Mutt!" Matten delivered a punch to the side of the worg aiming for the eye. He felt his plated fist sink into what he believed to be an eye socket. The worg let out a shriek but immediately chomped back down with more resentment for the warrior. He brought his fist eye above his head, then brought it down like a hammer on the worg's temple. This time the blow was enough to end the ravage of the wolf. Rising up and pushing the lifeless corpse of him he looked to the Orcs, and they met his gaze and shouted a barbaric shout and charged Matten. He answered with his families call to arms and pushed the attack.

Gimain watched as the Blood elf came up to them greeting them, the dwarf eyed her out, a bandanna and a set of daggers, Hmmm a rogue perhaps? will get my eye out and watch her very carefully. The human was chatting to her when suddenly a war horn sounded, Gimain held his axe and shield close, as they expected another search party to coming looking for the first one.

Gimain saw 12 more riders approaching them, he started slowly backing up until he felt a tree against his back, This should work nicely they can't surround me to easy He watched as the human beat the worg and now engaging the orcs. The one rider spotted Gimain and immediately charged him, Gimain readied his shield as the rider got closer Gimain used his shield and bashed the worg hard in the face, forcing the orc to dismount. Gimain swung his axe but the orc was quick and dodged the swing, and with retaliation the orc took a swing striking his shield, Gimain threw his shield at the orc, forcing the orc to take a hit or moving aside, as the orc side stepped the shield, Gimain dug his axe deep into the orcs chest. "hmm not much of s challenge these guys are".

"That is because the best of the lot is off fighting in Orgimmar right now, but do not get cocky-" Matten parried an axe swing and only smash long arm into a shield causing it to send a jolt up his arm. The Orc saw the dismay and pressed the attack. What caught him off guard was his partner attacking him from behind. He felt a strong kick to his lower back, but the armor absorbed most of the blow. "They have the numbers we can't-" Matten spin his pole arm in a circle causing confusion and parrying his opponents follow up axe attack. "ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH" he ran his spear though the stomach of the off kilter-ed opponent.

Kirye's grip on her daggers tightened as she was approached by two Kor'kron riders. They gave the blood elf one glance before their faces split into huge grins. "Now, now," one of them chuckled, "better be careful with those blades... wouldn't want you to hurt yourself, little one." His partner burst into laughter as the one who'd spoken advanced another step.
Kirye eyed them and, in the same sarcastic, mocking tone said, "You know, you're absolutely right. I shouldn't be playing with such dangerous-looking weapons. Someone could get hurt."
Before either of them could react, she twirled the dagger and threw it at the rider who had spoken to her. The blade flashed through the air before burying itself in the massive orc's chest. Quick as a serpent she drew another dagger, spun and plunged both blades up through the second rider's armor and into his chest, right underneath his ribcage. The rider coughed, droplets of blood hitting Kirye's face. She ripped the daggers out and the orc slumped forward, the ground quickly becoming red beneath him.
Sheathing one of her daggers, she strode to the first rider and retrieved her weapon, then glanced at the rest of the attackers. "Yeah... better be real careful, huh?"

Gimain saw the human out numbered but before he could do anything, the human used his long arm and spun around killing one of themQuiet a creative way to turn the tables around. Gimain slowly started running and joined the human in the circle standing back to back protecting each other.

Gimain stood and watched as the orcs mocked the blood Elf, and in a blink of an eye the orcs were lying in their own blood. Hmmm interesting how fast and agile she is, can make for a dangerous foe, hopefully we won't need to fight her. Hmm 4 down 8 to go.

"Well met!" He said to Gimain as he picked up his flank. "We need to push towards the blood elf, I still have questions for her." Matten ready his pole arm and took a deep breath "I will press the attack on your mark, hopefully we can out maneuver their numbers." Matten again flashed back to the days of northrend, he felt as if he was there again but instead of harsh unforgiving winter, the arid barrens was the stage.

Kirye noticed the human and dwarf covering each other and lifted an eyebrow. In dark times, even the greatest of enemies may find themselves paired together, instead of against each other.
    "There! Get her!"
She growled at the orc's voice, turning to meet her newest adversaries. Two more Kor'kron riders were charging, weapons raised. The rogue didn't move nor meet her opponents; rather she simply stood there, seeming completely unconcerned. A quick flash of worry crossed one of the rider's face but he kept moving. The one closest to her, the faster of the two, uttered a fierce battle-cry and swung his axe, narrowly missing her. Still she had not moved.
"Pagh!" the rider spat, quickly recovering from his attack. "At least die with honor, wretch!" His partner came up from behind him, gripping his weapons tightly and seeming extremely cautious.
Kirye laughed, startling both riders. "Honor?" she mocked. "Honor is for those who wish to die. Those who fight to survive are the ones that will outlast others like you." With lightning speed she lashed out with one of her daggers, slicing the closest rider's throat. He stumbled backwards, blood gushing from the wound. The second rider roared and swung his axes, but she merely sidestepped the blow and stabbed him in the heart. His expression changed to one of pain, and she pulled him closer. "You want an honorable death? Guess you'll have to look elsewhere." She twisted the dagger, then pulled it out and shoved him away where he fell to join his brother-in-arms. "Fools." She turned to where the dwarf and human stood, side-by-side fighting the Kor'kron.
Garrosh is going to have to do better than these whelps. She knew they'd have to get together somehow. Eventually reinforcements would come, and they'd need to come up with a solid plan to stay alive.

    ((haha you mean Dwarf XD))

Gimain stood in shock as he watched the rogue Damn how is she so fast? she dodges them without even trying, while lucky she's on our team, for the moment anyway.
Gimain watched as one of the rides charged towards him, Gimain squared his feet to help him stand strong waiting for the right moment to strike. As the rider came Gimain moved aside to let the rider passed but as the rider passed Gimain lodged his axe into the rides back, causing him to cry out in pain, lumbering around as Gimain sliced his throat. " Guys we need to kill these guys quicker, who know's what's coming to join them?"
