What will become of the Argent Crusade?

With the threat of the Scourge diminished, the Lich King dormant or under Bolvar's control, and most of the lesser foes in the Plaguelands defeated, will they someday focus their attention on the Forsaken and join the Alliance? Could we see another neutral faction picking a side, just like the Kirin Tor did?

I would welcome this move. The Alliance needs a foothold in northern Lordaeron, as it's pretty much under Horde control.

The Horde needs a foothold in Stormwind, as it is pretty much under Alliance control.

    Nice logic there.

Considering the Argent Crusade let's any race join and they are mostly okay with the Ebon Blade and death knights I don't think they would be part of anything that deals with something like that.

He didn't say Undercity, he said Northern Lordaeron. The horde equivalent to what he said would be "The Horde needs a foothold in Southern Eastern Kingdoms, as it pretty much is under Alliance Control."

Back on topic: I'd love to see a quest chain or scenario that shows what their organisation is up to now

I think what he mainly means the Horde has a foothold in Southern Eastern Kingdoms (Grom'gol Base Camp in STV), while the Alliance has no camp/small town in Northern Eastern Kingdoms.
3 bases in Western Plaguelands which has 1-2 alliance NPCs is basically a neutral Argent Crusade/Earthen Ring camp.

It still doesnt mean that every part of the world should be under balanced control.

If there is a reckoning with Sylvanas, I'm sure the Argent Crusade will be involved somehow.

However I don't really think it's likely that they'll side with the Alliance outright. The Kirin Tor were traditionally Alliance-aligned and they only went neutral in WotLK due to the Nexus War. The Argent Crusade on the other hand have always been presented as a neutral organization, and there is no clear divisions between their members from traditionally Horde or Alliance races.

I think that Bolvar will flip out when he sees Sylvanas using the Val'kyr to raise the dead similar to the lich king.
Maybe demand the destruction of the val'kyr.

They need to work on the other paladin organizations, Hand of Argus in particular has next to no development. Argent Crusade should remain neutral.

I think they're going to turn into something similar to the Scarlet Crusade eventually. The only quest text I've read was in Eastern Kingdoms when you mop up the remaining Scarlet Crusaders.

It might've been just me but I felt a little sketched out about the Argent Dawn/Crusade after doing those quests. It's almost as if it followed the "They became the monster they fought against" trope. Like it was a passing of the torch.

I pity the Scarlet Crusade however. I always felt that they were in the right (The average foot soldier and Captains) all along even though it was led as a corrupted organization to begin with. I would've never accepted a bunch of undead walking around plaguing the land that I once called home. And what's worse is that you have fellow humans who accept them or even defend them. It would drive me to insanity that's for sure.

Zones shouldn't always be balanced when it comes to faction control, but I agree that there should be a major Alliance presence in the north of Lordaeron. The Argent Crusade obviously needs to respond to what Sylvanas has done/is doing, but I don't think they should be the ones to represent the Alliance up there. Perhaps an offshoot faction made up of former Argent Crusade, Ebon Blade, and Scarlet Renegade members could do the job for the Alliance.

With the Scarlet crusade leadership destroyed and its armies in disarray, I would love for Varian to bring them back into the alliance and merge them with hand of argus and Knights of the silver hand into " The Scarlet Hand".

A force of paladins all with combat experience and the zeal to do what their king commands.

Why would Varian merge paladin organizations? I don't think he has the power to do that.

One thing I felt the writers missed in cata, was having the argent crusade and the new quests in the plaguelands address the threat of sylvanas and her march east and south across the lands, turning it into scourged shit.
This should be addressed, its not a 'horde and alliance so we're stay out of it' issue, its an issue that sylvanas will literally ruin everything there working towards.

In her own lands fine, but if she keeps doing a garrosh and turning lands to scourge'ville, like she did to hillsbrad, the crusade needs to address it.

I think he could act as a mediator, I am sure with their leaders gone alot of the scarlet crusade want to rejoin the alliance.

Secondly Varian has used his influence in areas where we should have no power before - making the council of three hammers and taking away full control from moria. he had no right to get into Dwarf politics but he did.

Varian shouldn't have any power there. He has nothing to do with paladins and should have no say in draenei military or politics. The dwarf thing was bad enough.

I also don't like how all the alliance stuff is being merged into humans so I don't want to see the draenei lose the Hand of Argus and forced into a human organization.

The Argent Dawn has a faction called The Brotherhood of the Light, which seems to be Alliance-oriented. For example Eligor Dawnbringer was a quest giver in Wintergarde Keep affiliated with the Valiance Expedition (alliance town in Drangonblight, close to Naxxramas).

Perhaps the Argent Crusade will split and The Knights of the Silver Hand and the Brotherhood of the Light will join the Alliance, leaving only the Argent Dawn as a neutral organization.

I'd like to see them establish their own Kingdom, absolutely independent from Horde and Alliance. Nothing more, nothing less.

Which is something, that baffles me till today, Varian had absolutely no right to meddle in Dwarven leadership affairs. Moira is the legitimate ruler of Ironforge, sure her methods were not thought through at the moment, that doesn't give him the right to waltz in and remove the rightful ruler of Ironforge.
